I think that's been Sega's approach to most things with Sonic since 2005. :U

I know it doesn't necessarily count as far as shooters go, but Little Big Planet games have had given makers the capacity to design shooters. Either way it's nice to see Nintendo entering the shooter realm more consistently. I'm not so interested in Ironfall since it looks like an indie Gears of War but I am very interested in Splatoon. It's so cute and colorful and it's online too. :)
Technically there is PS Now on PS4, but I see what you mean. I think there is potential in game streaming but I agree native gameplay will probably always be best. I still have my big ol PS3 as well as my slim PS2 and PS1, so backwards compatibility has never been an issue for me.
If the game does well they may do a port maybe.
Nintendo doesn't have half-year installments of anything from what I've seen I mean heck one of Wii U's next games is a new IP. :U

It's a given that Playstation leads the rest of the world except arguably Japan.
I get why they did it but I'm still not sure I agree with it. It's clear they are selling it as an upgrade, but I feel like it should be cheaper than $200 to reflect the lack of a charger. I think cutting it by ten dollars would have been less angering for the people who are upset.

I think both of them will flesh it out by next generation I have a feeling that portable devices that double as console controllers will become more commonplace in dedicated gaming and that includes cross-buy games being integral to them. But that's just a theory...
