Not really. At least MS included "xbox launch exclusive" before each trailer. Sony on the other hand didn't say anything until after in a separate statement.
It was leaked yesterday from ReviewTechUSA(take with a grain of salt of course), the game demo was from at least 4 months ago, and running on a mid-tier PC debug dev kit, which is dumb as. The game started on Unreal Engine and they switch to Slipspace, so it certainly has been a bit of a rocky development. There is a bit for info if anyone wants to check out the whole video.

I agree with this. MS likely figured, we aren't ready to show any gameplay and we don't want to add any unnecessary work for our devs to make a demo for something 2 years away, but knowing these games are in development is probably enough for gamers to get excited. Clearly it's wasn't for a lot of people. I'm looking forward to a lot of what was at the show, and I can say confidently, they are all games in would play, especially knowing they are all going to be on gamepass...
The article is talking about the games and gamepass, not whether they enjoyed the showcase or not. You can hate the showcase, but still be excited for what's to come.

Probably not, but I've never bought a console at launch so I might not be the person to ask. Do we know every game available at launch? I love Halo so certainly that might do it. The Medium looks dope. I want to see a full list of launch games to know exactly what's available.
I own other systems as well. Crazy how that works right? I don't blinding hate other platforms unlike what I've seen on here. I understand being disappointed with the Xbox showcase, but it way past criticism. Nobody can say one positive thing about the show without being spammed with dislikes and called a fanboy or whatever.
I thought it was okay, but certainly could have been better. The parts I enjoyed included Psychonauts 2, Balan wonderworld, Everwild, Halo Infinite, Tell me Why. I was disappointed to not see see any gameplay from Hellblade 2, Avowed, Fable, Everwild, State of Decay 3, and Stalker 2, but knowing those games are coming is still exciting.
Believe it or not, some people actually enjoyed the showcase. I've seen mixed feelings all over the internet. Nobody should be condemned or ashamed for enjoy it. That some BS superiority complex thinking and it needs to stop.
Nothing you said changes the fact, Gamepass is superior to PSnow, and it's only been reinforced going into next gen. It's okay that MS does something better than Sony. No one is stopping you from enjoying your Ps5 because of it.
Regardless of how the showcase went, we know Xbox is stepping it up with 1st party content. We got a glimpse of that. There are still plenty of games we haven't heard about or seen from their other studios.
They're referring to when Bethesda actually made good games people wanted. Not current Bethesda. Obsidian is now seems to be the ones filling in the role of old Bethesda.
The fable rumor is not even true so stop spreading lies.
Did I say they would show gameplay? No. I said the game was gonna be shown( in some compasity or another.) Out of all the games at the showcase, Forza is really the only one I could go without seeing any gameplay and already know what it's about and how it plays.
Everyone and their mama knew Forza 8 was going to be shown so I don't see how it was a desperate attempt. The only desperate attempt I see is your trying to make it seem that way.
Look at the games from a 1st party perspective that are cross-gen. Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2, Grounded, Flight Sim, Gears Tactics, and maybe 1 or 2 others. These games were clearly planned with Xbox one in mind when they started development.
1st party games like; Forza Motorsport 8, Fable, Avowed, Everwild, State of Decay 3, and Hellblade 2 with be next gen only because that is what the developer wants to focus on. Now we can put to rest the whole, XSX doesn't have ...
The showing itself could have been better. At least we know Xbox has some great games in production.
The game is clearly early in development so why rush out a gameplay demo when it's likely not representative of the final product.
That what I like to hear. Halo 5 biggest flaw was not including splitscreen. Hopefully we will get more details soon about Forge, multiplayer, and any other additional modes like Firefight/warzone.
