You're really reaching with this one 😂

I'm only talking about games that will leave the service. I didn't think I needed to clarify, with the exception of 1st party games. I will next time.

That's part of it for sure. More of a challenge in general, no recharging shields. I like the Firefight maps in ODST a bit more.

Games are on the service for 6-12 months. If someone's really compelled to play the game, they will before it leaves.

It was on the service for 12 months. More than enough time to finish the game. If someone didn't, that's on them.

And Sony doesn't have their own timed exclusives? Half the games at their show were timed exclusives. I would rather have a game be a timed exclusive then timed exclusive DLC where I pay the same price for less content.

A lot of good stuff coming to MCC. I'm most excited about ODST Firefight being added with matchmaking.

@Razzeredux

I know Xbox would rather sell all their games on only the windows store. What company with their own platform wouldn't? Gamers won by getting what they want(steam releases) and Xbox also is benefitting, yet some how it's being spun into something negative.

@Neomahi
Gamers still have to sign into Xbox live to play their games on steam. MS doesn't charge for online gaming on PC anyways. Their revenue comes from gamepass on...

They are also making much more revenue than if they kept these games only on the windows store. MCC on steam has sold roughly 3 million on steam. That's 3 million more sales they wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

You're 1st statement is simply not true. Majority of PC gamers don't have a console as power as ps5 or XSX. I'm sure you would love to see Xbox leave the console business, but don't get your hope's up.

Reddit is not a good representation of all gamers opinion. Minority of gamers don't visit forums and partake in discussions about gaming.

Hakuoro

Every decision Xbox makes, financial risk and reward is always in play. I'm not sure why you would think I would ignore that. It's not hard to see how Xbox as a whole benefits from releasing games on Steam as well. Clearly it has been paying off for them just by looking at the sales and engagement we see on steam for xbox games. XGS games selling well and high engagement=more games being developed for both console and PC gamers. This benefits both platforms.

We're already seeing the benefits for both platforms. Xbox announced earlier this year, 2019 saw largest amount of revenue from PC ever. I can only imagine revenue will double or triple in 2020.

No doubt steam sales are head and shoulders above windows store. Why would that really matter to Xbox? As long as the games are selling and players are engaged, nothing else matters.

XGS releasing games on Steam has been a big boost for them. I'm glad Xbox has finally fully embraced Steam, this will only lead to good things for both Steam and Xbox.

It's going to be $60. Even with the multiplayer being f2p, it will have Forge(already confirmed) and at least some other mode like Firefight or Warzone.

Haha nobody cares? Wrong. Not surprising how you feel about it. The vast majority of gamers are positive about this. This will bring the popularity of Halo back.
