Yeah, to my knowledge the 60gb version only uses software to play PS1&2 games. So this thing is wrong by saying it uses hardware. That's the case for us in the EU at least!
Put a reminder on Sky for this. Cheers!
You are so biased, it's untrue. I hope you get commission too.
Why a 360 premium? Why not an elite? Either way, they don't come with a wireless adapter, nor HD movie playback. He said it was important to have wireless and also he's interested in HD movies. Add those two and you're paying more than the PS3.
Also, you can easily stick an external hard drive to a PS3 (or just get any generic 2.5" internally) and also stream all his media from his PC - so don't ...
You can get a 500GB 2.5 inch hard drive for $150? I didn't even realise they exist, let alone at that price. Show us a link, I might just have to buy one! (that is, if you're not getting confused by the size of the hard drive)
I'm glad Sony decided to allow us to upgrade our hard drives with any make/model as long as it's 2.5 inch. This is unlike Sony, so a pat on the back is deserved. Imagine having to buy an official accessory which is only limited to what size the company releases and at an inflated price.
I think I'll wait for one this size to come down in price a bit, then my PS3 will be sorted for many years to come....
This is old news which has already been posted:

This isn't as bad as you all think though, as the user manual has the registration code which works with your game. You just use your own created password to log in. So when you sell the game, be sure to include the manual so the new owner has the registration code and then just change your password and supply that also. Simpl...
This is a PS3 only thread about people who have decided to buy a PS3 and aren't sure of which one to buy. Why did you have to come in here with your pointless comment to try start a flame war? I respect your opinions, but unfortunately they're only you're opinions and not facts and therefore not everyone is going to agree with you. Does your console really need you working to try and get new customers? I bet you don't even get commission. How pointless.
This shouldn't be a problem, more of a pain though. You don't have a log-in name, just your own personal password. So after you sell it, just change the password and supply that password with the game. Case solved. (it is a bit silly though!)
Talking about bending over! I'm sure it gets boring after about the 20th one though... The chains make the same sound each time, the girls have set things they repeat over and over and not to mention the graphics being worse than some PS2 games. I'm glad I missed this game.
After the link it mentions an Uncharted Demo in November...
I predict once this get reviewed, it'll get 7.5 from GameSpot :P
I've only really read positive things from this game, so I'm really looking forward to it. Might have to wait for Christmas day though...
Nice Trailer. Definitely getting this game.
Not sure of other countries, but here in the UK if you registered your PS3 online you'd be sent a free copy of Casino Royale on Blu-Ray. So for that reason, I don't see this bundle as a big deal as you get a free blu-ray anyway.
I wonder what implications stores releasing things early have on companies such as Sony? If this story is in fact true, then this PS3 is being sold four days early - but why would that matter? It's still being sold and surely Sony wouldn't worry about if it's a few days early, as they're still making their money.
Kinda cool - needs more games though.
PS. Why is this in the 360 and Wii channel?
Who cares? They only make two games I'm interested in - Devil May Cry and Resident Evil and if push came to shove I could probably live without both of them.
Also, I hugely doubt they're 'picking' on the PS3. What advantage would they have by doing that?
If you ask me (which I'm sure most of you wouldn't!), I'd say you get exactly what you pay for with these games. What do you expect for those prices?
Well I've read the story and also read through the auction page and I have no clue where they're getting their information from. Firstly the hard drive isn't 200GB, but only 80GB (but does say later on that it's 60GB) which is clearly the standard one so probably isn't even 7200rpm. Also, it says absolutely nowhere that it's 'twice as fast' or anything like that. In fact, the only difference from a standard PS3 is that it's yellow. No big deal, no news here....
EDIT: What are ...
When this comes out in the UK I for sure will be picking it up. Anyone know how long the game is if played fully (to get all extras and that)??
I don't want to sound negative, but stories of stock being sold at stores is hardly a definitive sign of good sales. The reason I say this, what if they just had 10 in stock and they all sold out? That's hardly impressive. I agree, this isn't a small store and they probably had a couple hundred, but it's still not something you can judge by.
But I concur, this new PS3 pricing will certainly help them sell very well and this is just the beginning. Let's hope Sony can meet demand...
