Well in this review, all they say in the entire thing is "with disturbing frame-rate issues (especially in the replays)", that's hardly a 'hammering'.
The whole review has a fairly negative tone anyway, yet they give it a very impressive 9/10 - go figure!
They give it 9/10 despite all the negative things they say. Imagine if they fixed all those things...
I could understand all this complaining about Sony not allowing you to play any old Playstation 1 or 2 games on the Playstation 3, if it were true! You all make out that none of the PS3's have backward compatibility, and if this was the case then I'd understand all the complaints. But the fact of the matter is that there is only one of the PS3's which do not.
If the ability to play old Playstation games on your new next-gen equipment is important to you, then why don't you buy ...
I can't wait for this to arrive on my door step. 8 days seem too long... lol
Can anyone confirm if you can play with two(or more) people on one console online? You were able to do it on the previous one and I'm really hoping you can on this one too.
The new games this week cost £3.49 each.
Nothing to see here.... move along.....
(btw, those wallpapers are not new for this week, they were released last week)
I think having the two formats are actually harming each other. I know a lot of people are holding off until there is one 'clear' winner as they don't want to invest in something which could be useless a year later. I believe there is only a fraction of the people buying HD-DVD/Blu-Ray movies compared to if there was just one certain format. I'm sure it'd help get more movies in HD too with some studio's having to invest in making two products and some choosing not to at all(anyone wondering ...
I see what you're saying and I can understand why you have done it, if in the past people have reported you for not putting it in all the channels.
My understanding of the rules are, that if the news is relevant to all the different consoles then it goes into those channels - not if the game is available for all those consoles. As it stands, IMHO, this news should only be in the Xbox 360 section since it's only relevant to that console. It certainly shouldn't be in the Gaming c...
lol - exactly what I was thinking.
Wow, that all went over my head. Is it any good then? lol
Why is this in the PS3 section? And the Gaming and PC section as well for that matter? I'm looking in my PS3 section and have no interest in an Xbox 360 only story like this.
Good score though.
Cheers for that Andy. Bubble for you my friend. I didn't think of checking Wikipedia, but I did learn something interesting; Australia and New Zealand are the same region as the UK and also speak the same language (well, some would think not!) so they should technically get the exact same product. I think I may have just found my source of cheap Blu-rays! The exchange rate is just as bad as the US Dollar too, sweet :)
I'm well and truly counting down the days. I can't wait to play a next gen footie game on my PS3. Especially with lag-free online play. I've got mine pre-ordered from shopto.net but I might be tempted to pop down the local Asda to pick it up in the early hours for £35.93. All depends whether they get it in early....
I was thinking that. It's been out for 8 months or so and is still in the top 10. Quite impressive! Especially since it's not really talked/hyped about that much.
Considering The Eye of Judgement(with the PS Eye) is retailing for about £59.99, this means that Sony are pricing this game at £35, which to me all of a sudden makes it look expensive for what it is (considering you'll also have to buy extra packs of cards and so forth).
I think I might just be picking up the camera by itself and at £24.99 it sounds like the better deal to me. I'm sure there will be the odd online retailer doing it for cheaper too!
I can understand you being a bit disappointed. I got it this week and have only started playing it, but the games seem to lack atmosphere to me or something. It's a good game, but I agree it's not 'some divine gift from the multi-player heavens'. I think, what you'll find is that it's a game which people can boast about on sites like this to make the PS3 look better against all the anti-ps3 movements.
If only this was in the UK, I'd be very interested. Blu-ray's are a bit too pricey when compared to DVD's at the moment.
How does the region locking work with the PS3 and blu-ray movies? My understanding is the games are region-free but the movies aren't? Any help in clearing it up would be appreciated :)
Are you suggesting you don't like Warhawk? If it makes you feel any better, I'll put it this way to you. I live in the UK and the Jabra BT 135 headset costs £25 on it's own from most phone places. I managed to get Warhawk (with the headset) for £29.99, so the game only cost £5. Surely Warhawk is worth £5?
If not, you could always sell the game on and make most of your money back...
This story is old! lol

I wonder how half the stuff on this site gets approved...
I personally am more interested in the keyboard than the headset, but the price puts me off big time. Maybe around Christmas somewhere will be doing a deal on it (hopefully).
Interestingly, this keyboard isn't on Logitech's website anymore.
I'm sure this game is gonna be great fun but that video doesn't look all that great - Ronaldinho's legs look right weird and he's got JUMBO feet. Some great skills though.
