Agreed. What's even sadder is all these people defending Nintendo, as if Nintendo is doing EVERYTHING just perfect and should be above any and all criticism. Nintendo's gaming output on Switch is pathetic. Nothing but a bunch of Wii U ports and low-budget, low-ambitious baby games being sold at full AAA price. It's pathetic. What was the last true ambitious, large scale, big budget AAA banger that Nintendo produced? Luigi's Mansion 3 maybe? But even that I would argue i...
Half of the games you listed are Wii U ports. If you took away all the Wii U ports, the Switch library would be pretty pathetic. It's a damn disgrace that Nintendo is releasing Pikmin 3, a 7 year old port of a Wii U game and charging 60.00 for it! Same with Tokyo Mirage Sessions. By now Nintendo should have released at least 1 new sequel to each of those games. What the hell have they been doing for the last 7 years? I haven't touched my Switch since November when I bought Luig...
PS1 was definitely when Sony relied the heaviest on 3rd party. However they were just breaking into the industry so it was understandable. By the PS3 they really hit their stride with 1st party.
Clearly we have different standards
Naturally. In other news, water is wet.
They're having enough trouble with their main platform. They need to sort that out first before they go trying to support VR.
Well does this make sense then? Sony wanted Spiderman in Marvel's Avengers, they wanted him exclusive to their platform to entice more gamers to play it on that platform, and whatever channels Sony had to go through to make that happen, they did! What else really is there to know?
Because whats more discuss? Sony wanted exclusivity and they got it. I'm not sure what more there is to talk about.
Does it really matter? The point is through whatever channels Sony went, they wanted exclusivity and Marvel/Disney granted it. Do we really need to know the granular details of what made that happen?
Xbox
It only looks bad in the eyes of gamers not smart enough to invest in a PlayStation. LOL!
Exactly. This is business. Sony is in this to compete and win people to their platform and they are going to leverage every advantage they have at their disposal to do so. This isn't anti-consumer. It's anti-Xbox/pro-PlayStation consumer and as a PlayStation owner, I couldn't be happier as I feel that my investment in the PlayStation platform just continues to pay off.
Great! I look forward to playing it with Spiderman on PS5!
I don't necessarily feel like we need E3 back but I do still want a concentrated week of gaming news in June. I have not really liked the way they've spread it all out over 3 months.
Boy', what a "jerk" for retiring!
Can't believe he "pulled" the trigger and left.
Not surprised. Sega never really "spanked" the competition.
I'll bet Sega never saw that "coming."
Sega will have to "beat off" the candidates wanting to replace him!
You nailed it. The gaming landscape has changed so much since 1999 (when the Dreamcast launched). The DNA of most Sega games was fast-paced/fast-twitch arcade games, get in get out. Which was perfect for arcades but for today's home console market, that stuff just wouldn't sell but to a very small group of gamers looking for a nostalgia trip.
Digital all the way. I went all digital this generation and I haven't looked back .
Based on what I saw at the Xbox event, even free still costs too much.
How do they know what demand is without putting it available for preorder.
I'm with you. Animal Crossing to me represents that uber casual, cell phone Candy Crush/Angry Birds kind of game. It has never appealed to me the slightest.
