I hope their NFS game is out this year. It'll give me a good racing game to play while I wait for Motorstorm which I'm looking forward to more than GT5. Sim racers were never my thing but I'll probably pick up GT5 too anyway.
The article is talking about E3 though and since Blizzard won't be there it makes sense to not include Starcraft 2 though it would be nice to have mentioned it.
He said they'd be supporting 720p and 1080p so I guess we can assume it'll be 1080p normal and 720p 3D though he doesn't say anything about 3D.
The link takes me to the Motorstorm Apocalypse image instead of the article page.

edit: Looks like a copy paste job from the playstation site.
edit2: OK maybe not a copy paste job but definitely very similar to what's on the playstation blog.
Offline co-op would be great. Couple that with online co-op would be even better.
BFBC may not be a major announcement but BF3 certainly would be.
According to PSLS the embargo lifted today.
I didn't actually say the Cell renders.
As you said 'Cell takes some workload of RSX by vertex culling, post processing and shadowing'. Since the Cell takes some of the work load it means the RSX has more power to use when rendering which is where I drew the link between the Cell and 3D.
"disagree" lol funny
I was hoping for some improvements.
I know some of the fatilities have always had the victim screaming like a little girl but TBH I'd like to see these fighters who are supposed to be real "bad ass" and know no fear to not be screaming in a fatality but to actually take it like a bad ass would.
e.g. If Sub-Zero was to impale Scorpian through the chest with an ice weapon I'd expect Scorpian to put up a fight (maybe pushing it further into himself to ...
It's true that the GPU is what renders each frame but the latest PS3 exclusives are apparently off-loading some of the work the GPU would normally do to the CPU leaving the GPU with more power to use on other things like rendering frames twice.
Normally there wouldn't be a link between 3D and CPU but with the way first party devs use the PS3 it seems there is a link between the two but only in the case of the PS3.
edit: @AuToFiRE, 'real 3D require...
Nobody's forcing this on anyone. It's just the current trend in home entertainment.
I remember Jack Tretton saying in an interview last E3 about Sony not being bother about being first with anything but rather being best. This feature helps the PS3 solidify it's position as the best all round entertainment machine.
The same was true at the start of this gen with HDTVs. They'll get cheaper over time.
Sony isn't forcing 3D gaming on people. The 3D games will be playable in 2D while still looking as great as they usually do.
The only games taking a visual hit are the ones that are already out and are having 3D added. The games like Killzone 3 which will have 3D built in from the start won't be affected visually.
Not as dark and as gory as I had thought but this is the first footage we've seen so it'll probably look better when it's out.
I'd definitely buy it again on PC.
It's probably designed to appeal to the action crazy western audience. You could replace Raiden with Kratos or Ryu Hyabusa.
Still looks pretty great though but only because of Raiden's design IMO.
edit: For all we know this may not be the final box art. It could still change.
Also, isn't that the old 360 strip at the top? I thought they were using the new one now?
He seems to be holding the spine of would could be a defeated cyborg enemy. Also, the thing on his back looks like a pretty cool weapon.
I can't wait to see some gameplay.
It's Battlefield3 which is different to the Bad Company games since it's on a whole different scale and only on PC.
