It's definitely worth giving it a go. I really like it though the random encounters can get in the way of questing sometimes and it's a shame you can only get most of the weapons after having done certain quests.

I'd love it if this game was like Oblivion and gave you free access to the entire map from the start with a level system.

I haven't played online yet but the SP is great.

It's the European release of Demon's Souls. No extra content as far as I know.

BFBC2 is designed with consoles in mind. BF3 is a completely different beast and would be held back if it were to be a multi-plat game.

I hope it stays PC only as I don't want any compromises being made in any way, shape or form.

It's a PS3 add-on. Allows you to record TV and stuff. The Japanese ones really cool from what I've seen in the promo video. PayTV 2 should be pretty good.

Oblivion is worth playing though. It an amazing game and tends to get forgotten in lists like this so I'm actually pretty glad it's there.

I think he's right. Infamous should be there. I bought it for a friend who recently got a PS3 and he hasn't stopped talking about it. He mentioned that if I hadn't got it for him he would have never thought to try it but he absolutely loves it.

It's one of those games that should be played as it's far too easy to overlook it. That and Valkyria Chornicles.

He does have some good points though about the things that DA didn't have. I'm relatively new to RPGs like DA and while I did enjoy the game I think it wasn't as good as it should have been. It wasn't as deep as I was expecting but still worth playing IMO.

I think PSN+ is going to be a big part of Sony's conference so they probably won't be able to fit in all the games.

lol fool. Clownbelt is right. ALFA managed to mistake it for FF14.

Final Fantasy wasn't popular from the very start (as far as I know). Much like CoD it took quite a few games before it gained the popularity it has now.
For Sony to create a new IP it would take a long time to get as popular as FF. Even longer when you facter in that while it's gaining popularity future FF games will continue to increase in popularity as well.

I don't think there'll be a huge improvement in visuals TBH. The maps are 10x bigger now so more processing power is needed for that which leaves less space for visual improvements. I hope I'm wrong but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

True but aren't PS3 fanboys supposed to be better than them? In which case they should see it as a multi-plat if it is coming to PC.

'the 3-D effect was clear -- but the images were fuzzier looking and exhibited some pronounced shuddering. The trade-off of visual quality for the 3-D effect isn't worth it; at least at this stage of development'

That's the first time I've read something negative about the 3D. I guess we'll have to wait and see if GG can get it looking as good as normal mode. It's a shame he didn't mention anything about depth and the effect it has on the playe...

I read something about the previous game being included with WKC2 with improvements so that should make it a worthwhile purchase.

It annoys me as well that complaints from people who don't want to adapt are holding developers from making their games the way they want them to be and pushing for variety in whichever genre.

5887d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's to be expected. Games like CoD and Halo are designed from the ground up to appeal to as many people as possible.

The GG dev said in an interview (can't remember which one) that he they had targeted to game for the hardcore and maybe a little too much at that so this time they're making it a bit more appealing to the less hardcore.

That's not a bad idea but the problem comes in online play. You can't have people with fast controls playing with those who have slower controls. Maybe you could set up games with the option of how the controls work which would lead to a lot of games with quick controls and a few for those who prefer the slower controls.

I don't like calling CoD style controls "responsive" when talking about Killzone since it implies that the K2 controls weren't res...

I'm glad I won't see you online in K3 then :)

5887d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

The controls were great. I don't see why people were complaining since it didn't take long to adapt to it. If the controls were such that they made it difficult to play and were such that you couldn't adapt then fine but they weren't like that at all.

Anyway, they've said in an intterview that they're changing the controls to be more user friendly which is a shame but it's still a relatively unknown IP and isn't anywhere near as popular as even...

I didn't have any trouble with the multiplayer. 60FPS would just make it look smoother. 30FPS is more than satisfactory for online play.
