On a serious note though, it's this mindset that the companies try to make you set out as a bad guy by wanting to shop at a cheaper price. I wouldn't be surprised if a company like Activision starts taking more severe methods, like system-linking games, since at this point it's somewhat like that but with online functionalities. That is coupled with the fact that 1/2 the times companies are now rushing games, ...
Or maybe make a positive incentive for someone to buy your game new, instead of detracting.

It backfired though with AC2 and that incident at release, of people that pirated the game were playing, while legit customers were locked out at time of launch.
Yet buying something and enjoying something are 2 separate ordeals.
You can buy something, and then regret it later.
