Yes, they could do really badly at E3 and still sell. The only problems I have with it is that you have to pay for online, 24hour check-in, no games except COD and EA sports, you have to pay for used games a second time and the PS4 is more powerful after all of that and has a better controller.
It's not that I don't like it, I'm really looking forward to watching TV on it...
It just doesn't have anything going for it at the moment.
Metroid would be awesome! Or just anything by Retro Studios, as they're really good at making more mature games (and less mature ones like DKCR), and Nintendo really needs to shake off its kiddy stereotype right now with mature games.
We won't see it this E3, and probably not the E3 after, either.
I hope so, the Wii U really needs to gain some traction before the PS4 and Xbox One join the brawl.
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
You should pick up a Wii U, it's a great system, and once the big Nintendo franchises (and hopefully some 3rd party) come out it will be awesome.
eShop is surprisingly good and is beginning to do away with the "Nintendo is bad at online stereotype".
This article is so badly written, I actually had trouble, at times, understanding it at all.
OR just SSB.
It's kinda funny how you got so many downvotes for stating a simple fact.
@booni3
If you take away the multiplatform games that the PS360 have there's not many either, but nobody seems to do that.
Just be happy that the Wii U is getting multiplatform games, because the wii didn't, and it definitely hurt Nintendo.
And the wii wasn't a success, Ashunderfire86? The wii didn't build a fanbase for Nintendo like the PS2 did?
No. Well, not yet. We'll have to wait and see.
I don't think it will fail, but it won't come anywhere near close to the wii's sales and it probably won't win the generation. Not a failure, so to speak, but not a great success, either. I don't know. It'll probably depend on Nintendo's E3 showings (E3 had better be pretty damn great for them).
Why would the writer come to that conclusion?
What was his point here? It was already obvious that they didn't like the Wii U when they dropped all support for it, they didn't need to go and tarnish their own reputation and look very unprofessional at the same time, just to say that they don't like it. It's as if EA actually HATE Nintendo, something must have gone wrong since E3 2011 when they came out saying that they were going to have an "unprecedented partnership". It might have been that Origin thing.
This is a cool idea, I would have liked it better if they went to E3 and said: "there's this new 3D mario game coming out, you can download the demo right now". Best Buys don't exist where I live :(
When this comes out I can't wait to see all the people wearing google glass staring at walls.
Graphics? Meh. Gameplay? Good.
I'd rather play Mario 64 than killzone on the PS4 (that is, as long as killzone doesn't turn out to be really awesome).
And they're expecting the PS4 to have a bigger install base than the wii u (considering it'll probably have been out for a year when their game/s is/are out)?
Could be cool. I hope it works out for them, they need everything they can get right now.
When the PS4 was announced all they showed was the controller. How come people aren't getting it confused with a simple add-on to the PS3 like people were with the wii u?
Great. I really wanted to watch TV on my TV through the Xbox One. Great...
