Metroid pls.
Imagine a 720-1080p Metroid Prime game with pristine effects and really nice reflections off Samus' arm cannon.
Yes, 'lives'...
This game just keeps looking better.
Hahahahahahaa no.
Aww, I was kinda hoping he would be playable this time.
"ton of untapped potential"
"untapped"
"UNTAPPED"
You said it yourself, the games out right now haven't tapped into the GPU yet. Not even Nintendo knows how to get software done right for it yet. It looks like they've worked it out, with games like X and Mario Kart, but right now none of the games out have really taken full advantage of it.
They've already brought lots of games, certainly more than Sony or Microsoft have brought to their next-gen offerings.
7? A lot lower than the average review score. This seems like one of those games where you either love it, or like it. You can't hate it, though. Haven't seen any reviews give it less than 5/10.
N4G is confusing like that. Usually complimenting Sony will win you tons of agrees, but sometimes people on here just decide to screw everyone over by changing the rules.
It's not last gen tech. It's not as powerful as the PS4 and Xbox One, but it's definitely not last gen.
Also, what last gen console had a tablet controller? People always seem to forget about the controller, it's definitely more of a draw than the graphics.
Interesting. I wonder if there are any differences in the rings. Maybe other Punch Out! characters will make appearances on the Punch Out! stage? Or they could be alternate versions of the same stage that get chosen at random when you pick the stage.
You can get up and move with the Move and Wii remote. It's just that it's kind of optional with those ones. I guess if you're cheating the game, then you might be doing less work.
Anyway, why does it matter?
Motion+ on the Wii was good, but only two games really make you get it. Skyward Sword and Red Steel 2 were both great games that showed the potential of the Wii remote.
Too bad no other games have used it well.
I'm a Nintendo fan, but I also enjoy Sony and PC gaming. Xbox is interesting, but doesn't have many standout games for me.
The only reason I haven't bought a PS4 yet is because you have to pay for online, and online being free was one of the biggest draws of Playstation last gen.
I'll probably end up with a PS4 within the next year or two, and will get an Xbox One when a truly groundbreaking game comes out (new (good) Banjo Kazooie?).
I just bought it yesterday. Um. Well. This is awkward.
Well, at least it's the best version (by a lot).
So people with Wii U's can know about the update.
Mine hasn't frozen since the fall update either. Maybe you've got a defective Wii U? Ah, well, the update definitely couldn't hurt the stability, even if you have a defective console.
I can understand the whole Kranky Kong thing, people expected something aimed at mature players, since it was VGX, and Kranky Kong had already been leaked 5 days prior.
But I agree on the whole "Retro shoulda been making Metroid" thing. That's just stupid. It was Retro's decision to continue with the Donkey Kong franchise, Nintendo didn't influence it. If Nintendo had forced them to work on Metroid, then the game wouldn't have been as inspired as DK was. It w...
Because it's completely off topic.
Oh, and the Wii U uses bluray, they just modified it slightly to make pirating more difficult.
Just because it's a cartoony game doesn't mean it's demanding. And Battlefield 4 was running on the 360 and PS3, so don't call that demanding.
I doubt it's even as demanding as Mario Kart 8 or Bayonetta 2 (especially since they're both 1080p, 60fps).
