They've already said no new game announcements until E3 so it is likely Xbox LIVE related.
Lowest I've seen it at Walmart was $44.96. It's $54 right now.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I don't know how the gameplay will compare to Torchlight but the four-player local and online multiplayer is always a plus.

Not EA. They just gave Crytek the option and Crytek declined. Expect to see the Online Pass for nearly every other EA published game though.

Actually, it is both. The $29.99 for 3 months is a promo that is only good through March 1. And, if you failed to sign up for the promo, the game automatically renews you at $15 a month.

@Soldierone - Sorry if you feel that way but the title is not meant to be sensationalistic. ME2 was one of the most hyped and debated games coming into January. Then the January NPDs came out last week and I haven't heard a word about it. I thought it was a very legitimate question and tried to handle it fairly by mentioning January was a slow sales period, it was released a year later, it was more expensive, etc.

@Exgamerlegends - It's not like ME2 was released without any competition in January of 2010. Most notably, Bayonetta and Darkstalkers came out the same month.
