If it is an optional feature, I don't see the problem.
It wasn't written by Examiner. That is an entity not an individual. It was written by Jon Ireson.
If you know anything about Examiner then you know it is a collection of individual writers with their own columns and very loose editorial control. Many of whom were not happy with Ireson's article especially since they had already covered the same comments without taking them completely out of context.
Dec 31st is a placeholder date by the retailers.
There's still some juice left to be squeezed out of the PS3, that's for sure.
Given how far out in front the Frostbite 2 engine for the PC is ahead of the PS3 and Xbox 360, that's not too hard.
Yep
Yeah, Battlefield 3 is showcasing technology that no other PS3 game has really been able to do yet. DICE really sucks. <eyeroll>
That's the way it goes unfortunately. There's always a better deal on the horizon...just not when you need it!
Eh, depends on whether or not it is deserving of them.
@KILLERAPP: It was delayed from a Spring release to a September release. That's a couple of months...not a year.
Not sure how the whole toy tie-in thing is going to work out...
Hmmm...tough choice of limiting that to just 10 games to be voted on. There are others that could be included.

There are two subscription tiers. One is free and is no different than Bungie.net with stat tracking and community features. There is another paid subscription tier that will include multiplayer map packs at no additional charge and other features like a special video series.
Battlefield 3 is my most highly anticipated game of 2011 but EA is being really disingenuous here. All of those things listed - "talk to your friends, or to learn how you did inside the game" - are free with COD Elite.

EA has to know this by now but they continue to put out FUD over Elite.
Like who said? Slashgear or Sony? Because Sony specifically mentioned living rooms and bedrooms in their E3 press conference.
I have a 27" TV in my bedroom and I have to get within 5' to even consider using it for gaming.
This setup from Sony is only good for the most cramped of gaming spaces.
Sorry but a 24" TV sucks for gaming unless you are sitting at a desk. For that reason alone, I won't consider it. Sony should have offered a 32" bundle.
No new game announcement today unfortunately...unless they throw in a last minute surprise.
