Horizon will be amazing imo. However, fans of Xbox will still enjoy their console of choice. They'll just be missing out on an amazing new IP, even they'll downplay it every chance get while secretly wishing it was on X1 too.
Though Uncharted 4 is definitely a must have game this year, Horizon: Zero Dawn is my most anticipated game in 2016.
Except the fact that Wii U is current gen which makes NX the first next gen console.
The last numbers released by M$ was 10 million X1 units shipped, so I'm curious as to where you get 18 million X1 units sold through? And please don't quote VGChartz because they have never been close to actual numbers for anything, which would void your comment automatically.
@chucktheiceman
And all that combined doesn't make X1 appealling enough to actually buy the console.
100 games comfirmed in development, 200 devs signed up for development. Two very different lists. Some of those devs may not have begun development yet while others may not have released what they are working on yet.

Oculus Rift is $600. I'm thinking PSVR will hit $400 tops. Maybe cheaper if they aren't wanting to outprice the PS4 which is also a solid bet.
Not all but hopefully one or two highlights like EVE, Robinson or RIGS.
If it was multiplatform from the beginning I would have bought it for sure. Alas, it wasn't a multiplatform game so IF I do buy it on PS4, it will be from the bargain ben or not at all.
A beautifully awesome game. I truly holy hope they make a sequel, day 1 purchase guaranteed.
Because Bad Company 2 was the last game in this series that had any good/redeeming qualities. The series has been garbage since then.
Let them have it. I'm not buying it anyways.
$350? Sold!
People need to realize that the E3 price announcement/no DRM announcement had nothing to do with the competitions announcements. You don't/can't cut price or features just hours after the competition announce their plans. This stuff is known internally before they ever arived. Heck M$ couldn't even remove DRM months after they decided to remove it, they had to do it via a day one patch.
CES is not hosted by Sony. Sony are guests there bc they are an electronics company. Hundreds of companies will be there including automobile companies. Sony makes many devices and at the top of the list is PlayStation and sensors.
The gamepad crowd will be able to keep their gamepads. PSVR allows for many controller configurations including a single DS4. It is replacing the visual interface, not the controller. Although move controllers are another option. I for one will likely stick to the controller because i'm comfortable with it and know it very well without the need to see it.
I played the original on PS1, but skipped it on PS3. I put a 2TB HDD in my PS4 so I think it's time to buy it again. Hopefully by the end of the month just because there is going to be a lot to buy and play for PS4 this year.
@DivineAssault
Yeah I remember back when Modern Warfare 3 was new, I found out a friend of mine had bought FFVII. He was going to game share with me but Sony cut game sharing down to 2 consoles and I would have been #3 so I wasn...
While the Sony press conference is definitely a major highlight for me, I'll be checking out many things being shown at the entire event as I always do.
They also announced back at E3 2013 that KH3 would be on PS4 and X1 before the systems released, so no way of knowing PS4 would be so dominant. Also, this would have been around the time the Tomb Raider X1 one year exclusive rights deal was signed.

You make some very valid points, yet you left out one of the most important parts of Nintendo's history.
Sega released the Saga CD and Nintendo had yet to do something similar. Nintendo hired Sony to create the "Nintendo PlayStation" CD attachment for the SNES. Sony put Kaz in charge of development. Before Nintendo publicly announced the "Nintendo PlayStation" Nintendo backed out of the deal leaving Sony to eat the co...
