Anyone else find it ironic that SOADs statement draws so many disagrees?

Hopefully they'll create some kind of filter which prevents videos with over amplified screamo music from being created.

The way most articles are copied suggests that a script is doing much of the work. For example a article title will be quoted verbatim, and then the first paragraph will be quoted even if the first paragraph doesn't really have much to do with the real story. I think someone has (and if not, should!) create a script which watches the popular sites and submits new articles as soon as they arrive.

I'm surprised at the almost universal opinion that R1 was better than R2. That really says something. I'd almost prefer R2 be ignored and they can resume R3 with proper story telling like the first.

I thought R1 was great as my first PS3 game and my first return to the FPS genre after years of ignoring it.

I play lag free online with my PS3 and the wireless router is on the other side of the house. I'm always open to improvement but I'm wondering what Wireless N has to offer a gamer beyond the lag free gameplay I already have?

They can't stop used game sales period. Not with the current game distribution model on consoles.

If they go to DD (like Steam) then they lose a large portion of customers who don't have good internet connections, and lost customers are what their complaining about in the first place.

Furthermore, I love Steam and I find the prices for video games drop reasonably fast. Most games I purchase are niche indie titles. Because I'm part of the niche ...

XBox offers the most consistent, yet expensive, experience.
PC offers the most open experience.

PS3 is in the middle. It could be that they've found the perfect balance between both extremes, but it could also mean they are not the best at anything. I've been satisfied with the PS3 online services. I would like to see Sony release a development framework similar to XNA which anyone could use freely to develop simple PS3 games.

Ok, so it's the middle man that's responsible?

Geo facilitates PS3 homebrew, a middle man enables pirated games, and then a bunch of people pirate using Geo's and the middle mans software.

Sony makes the DVD burner hardware (and software as well; drivers, basic burning suite, etc), a middle man creates some software which can be used for burning bootlegs, and the pirates create the physical bootlegs.

I still think it's the end...

Sony creates a DVD burner which Bob uses to burn hundreds of bootleg DVDs and sell them illegally.

Geo creates a hack which pirates use to steal PS3 games illegally.

What's the difference between these two cases? Not much. In both cases someone creates a tool and gives it to other even though that tool can be used for illegal purposes. Who's responsible then? The facilitator and tool creator or the person who actually performed the illegal activit...

Fun, entertainment, the satisfaction that comes from solving problems presented in the video games.

Sony pays millions to develop this security scheme, a great puzzle, and this guy solves that puzzle. Who is greater, the puzzle maker or the puzzle solver? And if the puzzle maker earns a 7 digit income it's safe to say the puzzle solver stands to make some money as well.

Geo said he didn't intend to pirate. I don't support piracy, but I do suppo...

If your tying to say the impressive part of Kinect is the software, then I have to agree.

I always feel happy when big business and government "are watching," it's nice to know they will help me stay within the freedoms they have benevolently granted to me.

Hackers offer additional freedoms and Sony threatens to squash them at the expense of their paying customers. We then blame the hackers and praise Sony.

Next time someone successfully hacks the PS3 Sony should just disable every PSN account and charge everyone 1000$ to get their account back. People would really hate the hackers, while considering Sony as having done nothing wrong.

Good to know, bubbles.

If gamers are upset about over priced content then price the content more reasonably and you'll definitely improve your image.

What they want though is to be able to continue raping consumers while somehow managing to have a good image. Doesn't work.

If WoW is such the money maker (which I'm sure it is), then what possibly lead to Blizzard selling out to another company?

"We can keep our creative freedom and all the money for ourselves, or we can give Activision some of our money and let them call the shots."

They could probably make more money by selling remote desktop applications which are made for gaming, as I know I'd be far more interested in streaming games from my desktop to laptop, iPad, etc rather than pay 14 a month for access to full price game rentals. (I call them rentals because once you stop paying monthly you lose your entire gaming library.)

The only other way it could work (and maybe it does work this way?) is if you had access to all games free of charge b...

I know that it's all about destruction, but there's so much that it never feel special.

"Meh, it's only another building falling down, no big deal."

They should at least make the building feel stronger. They always felt like paper when I smashed through a wall with my hammer. It was always funny to try to use stealth in the game because you couldn't just kill a guy in the corner with your hammer, you also had to smash a huge whol...

Even if people chose Kinect, there are still plenty of things going for Sony. I'm sure they'd do fine this holiday even without Move.
