So, your chatting with a buddy. It can be you and the buddy in a P2P connection, or it can be you, your buddy, and an interloper server which does nothing except cost 50$ a year. Either way your limited by your own connection speeds.
I'm pretty sure both consoles are more than capable of being their own voice chat server, especially considering I use to voice chat on my 500mhz computer back in the day, and it didn't have any trouble doing the calculations.
I'm sure it was built fairly easily on their flexible Source game engine. It's not much different than a mod in that respect. I think it must be free in order to increase Steam saturation in the market, they want every gamer to have Steam installed and use it.

Maybe Geo will give up on his little hacks in favor of a more lucrative use of his talents. Of course, no matter how much he earns, learns, and achieves it wont change the fact that people on the N4G.com comment section consider him a loser. I'm sure that will always haunt him.
Stating the clock speeds is only half the story. It's true PS3 ram is clocked at 3.2 ghz while 360 ram is clocked at 700 mhz, but the 360 has a much wider bus and thus only slightly slower in over all data transfer speed.
The numbers are often misleading. Let the games speak for themselves, and remember cutting edge technology isn't required to make a good game - with that said I return to playing Dwarf Fortress while my PS3 gathers dust.

Halo 1 was great. I haven't played the others, but I thought the health system introduced by Halo was brilliant. Some regen is nice, but having all your health back in a few seconds is silly. I prefer the hybrid approaches like Halo or Resistance 1.
And I still can't believe I passed up the Bioshock (first) sale when it was 5$. This was before the summer sale. I don't have time to play what I already have though.

Consider console X which sells 1 console per month, and every console owner buys 1 game per month.
M1: 1 console, 1 game = 1 attach rate.
M2: 2 consoles, 3 games = 1.5 attach rate. (2 game were puchased because now 2 people own the console)
M3: 3 consoles, 6 games = 2 attach rate.
Etc.

I was hoping for more physics based destruction and simulation with the PS3. Instead we get the same old games only with better graphics. There are some really good games on the PS3, but none of them really bring anything new to the table.
Take a FPS with one weapon, one enemy, one level, and give it great graphics. People will be interested in it, people will read about it and consider buying it. Although few will once the lack of gameplay is exposed in reviews.

With all that power it could display over 480 colors! Sony later tried to one up them with the PS3, hoping for 8 working SPUs, but failed. Even so, the PS3 still retains the ability to display over 480 colors!
Yeah but it would cost Sony about 3$ a month to run a server capable of supporting 100 players. There are sites offering FREE hosting and bandwidth more than capable of hosting 100 people (granted, Sony couldn't use a free service, as it's for individuals).
Who wants to buy real cards to play a computer game with? No game is worth hundreds of dollars, let alone a trading card game. They should give everyone access to every card or allow some kind of online unlock system where you earn cards by winning or achieving certain things. Also needs to be an online trading system. A well thought out online trading card game could do well.
