At least according to a high and mighty society and their calendar.
BTW, that society no longer exists.
No overpriced DLC is always nice.
Picture your typical MGS scene with a guarded doorway. What are the guards doing? They're just standing their like any real guard would do.
Now were playing the same scene in online multiplayer. What are the guards doing? One guy is firing his gun at random people and objects because he bored. The other is trying to glitch his way up onto the roof of the guard house. Heaven help any cardboard box that happens to be in the area.
It's a question of programming.
How do you carry on an intelligent conversation? (Insert answer here.)
How? (Insert 2nd answer here.)
How? (Starting to run out of answers?)
How?
Like a kind asking "why why why" forever to bother his parents, eventually you run out of answers.
Unless you came up with a set a mathematical algorithms, as one of your answers, you are not prepared to program a computer to have a conversatio...
They could give him some MS points if they decided to go free?
Give all paying members their remaining months in MS points?
There was one day, years ago, when I was really bored for a 3 day weekend. I was literally putting on my shoes to go out and buy a 360 and a game or two, then I remembered the online play fee, and never though about it again.
It's a matter of principle. Online play can be free, and should be free, and will be free if more people s...
The scout is more supporting now, as it can BONK! people and otherwise be more annoying. It's job was to be quick and annoying to begin with. To distract and take pot shots. How has that changed?
Consider the other updates?
Heavy - The natasha makes the heavy into a excellent support class. Spraying the entire crowed to slow everyone down 25% is a great help to your team.
Pyro - Backburner greatly rewards stealthy pyros who can get behind the enemy. ...
There are a lot of things that discredit this article.
"Their entire purpose is evasion, not combat."
O RLY? If your not engaging in combat as a scout, then what are you doing?
"They were never meant as an offensive weapon."
Why did Valve put them in the offense section?
"TF2 is unplayable."
Oh please. TF2 is silky smooth and error free. That not what I would call "unplayable.&q...
The only thing worse than a swap thrashing is an automated Windows update.
"Man, this game has been slow for the last few minutes.... WTF? Why is my computer shutting down!?!"
Lets say I'm a country; Proxyland.
Proxyland: "Microsoft, you must include Firefox and Google Chrome in your Windows Operating Systems!"
Microsoft: "Were releasing our new Windows OS, without Firefox or Google Chrome. Unfortunately, it will not be available in Proxyland, and we will not provide support to Proxyland."
I doubt MS would give up profit and market share just to make a political point, but...
What if MS just says no.
What do you do then? Just bend over and say, "well, never-mind?"
Or do you start fund raising for a national education campaign? The real question then is how much does it cost to train a nation of computer illiterate people who only know Windows to use a new operating system?
Could be a good thing maybe?
Thing is, some small nobody comes up with a decent IDEA, patents it. Then sits around and does nothing.
Meanwhile we have this great technology available and nobody is making money from it, and nobody is using it because the patent holder is sitting on his arse doing nothing.
"What ever happened to innovation?"
"Joe Nobody has the patent, but decided he doesn't want to use it."
"You grab the objective, hit the speed boost, and your home before they even realize what happened."
So we have 1 person having a great time, and 31 other people saying "WTF is going on here?" 31 people log-off, 1 person plays by himself.
BTW, I'm sure he was exaggerating, but these were my thoughts as he was talking.
I believe your only allowed to get excited about a features the FIRST time. All these Killzone 2 rabblerousers... pfft.
I just pre-ordered on Amazon today. I want to got to the midnight launch if they're having it locally. Guess I'll have to cancel my Amazon order if I decide to.
Any attempt to stop piracy through DRM is either:
1) Extremely limiting - About half your legitimate customers are raging mad (and probably putting together a class-action suit) because their software they legitimately purchased isn't working.
2) Completely useless - A click here, a download there; a 4 year old can bypass your security. You spent too much, or not enough, developing your DRM.
Most importantly: It's not Microsofts job to be the piracy pol...
As for the loop-back audio recording.
I thought Vista might be blocking loop-back recording from my sound card. Then I decided to actually install the drivers, and suddenly it worked. Can't expect generic Windows drivers to provide full functionality.
The game was originally programmed to allow easy changing of match types and setting. They simply tell the servers to matchmake using different setting, nothing else is changed. They do it on their end, using their simple tools.
A far cry from adding switches and triggers to the source code to comply with the PS3 trophy standards.
It didn't mention the end of Shadow of the Collosus.
What's not memorable about being sucked into that pool?
I loved grilled 360's.
The firestorm of complaints is very real, and that worries me.
I'm also unhappy with the publishers business model of giving "extra" units in a more expensive version of the game. I want the FULL version, but it isn't work 70 bucks right now.
As with all PC games though, I expect I can pick up and enjoy the special forces edition for about 40 dollars in 6 months. The main problems with the game will be ironed out with patches, and I'll be ready to buy.
