Agreed, the PS3 far outdid it's competition this year in terms of games and quality. No doubt about it. MS was in distant second and the Wii at least got a great Zelda game. Other than that, it was another great PS3 Year.
lmao
I really wish that were true, but people in NA just keep blindly buying it. Oh well, at least I have my PS3 and PC to provide REAL entertainment.
What's worse is they got some JRPGs and they sold like crap when on PS3 they would have been, probably, good successes. Lost Odyssey deserves so much more.
Yep, probably because Japan is a much smaller market and iirc there is no black friday or thanksgiving over there.
Yep, probably.
For someone like me who plays multiplats on PS3 and/or PC, the 360 HAS had a terrible last two years. I mean, this year all I've bought is Gears 3 and Halo. That's it. Everything else has been bought for my PS3 or PC so tell me, how is two games in one year NOT a bad thing? It's absolutely terrible. And any decent gamer would absolutely pick more games over less (hence, PS3 with it's exclusives and mutliplats far outmatches the 360's multiplats and very few exclusives). ...
I really hope this comes over to NA.
They're last console wise thanks the 360's One year lead (1 1/2 in Europe), otherwise, the PS3 has been outselling the 360 every year since release. That means they're second. As for portables, you say they're last and they are but keep in mind there's only two portables and to have such a tremendous success against Nintendo is impressive to say the least.
The only reason I didn't mention the Wii is because most 360 fanboys tend to ignore it when talk...
It didn't start on PS1, FF has been around for way longer. In fact, some of the best FF games (at least imo) came out before FFVII. Though I do agree that it was the PS brand that made FF as huge as it is today.
PC or Wii U wouldn't be a problem, but 360 would just lead to more gimping. At this point, it's a proven fact that the 360's use of DVD really does hamper games. There's no arguing about, it's a fact. I wouldn't mind if it came out on the Wii U/Ps3/PC, as long as it's not gimped by the 360 yet again, it'll be fine.
If this happens... nope, I really can't even get any more disappointed with SE, I just can't. At this point, I really don't care anymore. I'll buy Vs when it releases if it's still an exclusives and it still shows promise. Other than that, I'm done with SE. Unless they're able to pull out a miracle with the next installment (which knowing SE is impossible), I really don't care.
Last time I checked, the PS3 has outsold the 360 every year since release Worldwide (of course, the Wii has been number 1 if it matters). As for portables, keep in mind this is TWO days for Vita vs. SEVEN days for the 3DS. Sane Logic dictates that more days equal more sales, no?
Probably cause there's a few million 3DS units compared to Vita's 300,000. Obviously, the 3DS will have an edge in software sales for a while.
Apperently, selling over 70 million units in a market that has been dominated by Nintendo for the last two decades is considers a failure nowadays. It's the same people who think 1 million is a "low number" and that preorders are the end all be all. I think we all know which group I'm talking about here.
PSN is great for online and any sane person would a fool to pick a 360 over a PS3 given the huge amount of exclusives the PS3 offers.
This is, of course, if that person wants to game as much as possible. If the person only cares about yearly spots and CoD games then I guess a 360 will do. But if someone is serious about gaming, there's no excuse not to own a Ps3, not when you'll be missing out a lot of the highest rated games of the generation as well as a ton of exclusi...
If the 360 lost any more exclusives it'd be absolutely worthless. Now that Gears is over, it's just Halo that's left. Along with Forza for whoever is into sims and Fable (though that has been COMPLETELY ruined thanks to that god forsaken on rails kinect crap).
Really, I'm only keeping my 360 around for Halo 4 next year. Other than that it's useless at the moment.
Almost every single PS3 exclusive sells over 1 million with many of them selling over 2. Now, keep in mind that a very minute amount of games actually ever sell that much, the fact that most exclusives do is a huge accomplishment. In fact, on 360 the ONLY game series that sells more than GT is Halo, and atm Reach is only about 1-2 million ahead of GT5.
So I don't see how you can say PS3 games sell poorly, they don't. Tell me, if something sells poorly, do you make a ...
This is purely my opinion, but this is why I'm disappointed
*Graphics are subpar, they're worse than MGS4 and that's a four year old game.
*The gameplay looked a bit dull and kinda of stiff.
*MG is known for it's story, Platinum game is known for a lot of things, but they always have incredibly weak stories.
*I really dislike Raiden as a character, even if he is all cyborg ninja in the game.
...
@Zippy
and once that happens will it make you feel better or worse or what? Cause at the moment I don't see how a game selling 12, 13, 14 million copies is good for us gamers in any way, especially when one of those games is something like Kinect Adventures.
Seriously, going by you're standards, you might as well call the 360 dead compared to the Wii. I could say the same thing, wake me up when the 360 has something that's sold 20, 25, 30 million...
