People like ignoring the 1 year lead. According to them, the PS3 was supposed to sell like crazy regarless of price and launch date simply based on the PS2's success. Really dumb if you ask me, just because a previous item is popular doesn't mean the next will be as well.
And yep, the PS3 has been selling a faster rate than the 360.
Most women in gangs aren't taken seriously though, (with rare exceptions) so I don't think GTA would make any sense with a female only lead.

It'd be probably loose a lot of sales even if it GTA. Now, I personally wouldn't mind, but I think it would have a major effect (and not a good one either).

Dude, it's very simple really, what ever SONY ships is what they've sold. They get their money regardless of whether or not the retailers sell them so be it 5.5 million shipped or sold to customers, it doesn't matter, PD and SONY get their money.
And obviously, GT5 had huge demand as it's shipped at least a million more since the initial 5.5
Interesting numbers but we all know the PS3 leads WW just as it has been doing for the past few years. Take away the year the 360 had by itself on the market with no competition and it's clear which console is ahead.
I don't see how comparing an established franchise like GT to Forza is wrong since so many 360 fanboys love comparing new series like Killzone and resistance to an established series like Halo... lmao at the double standards.
The fact is most people don't understand what a Beta is and think it's a demo. When they see a problem they assume it's part of the game and thus loose interest when, in fact, the POINT of a beta is to fix those issues. That's the problem with public betas, the general public is too stupid and/or uninformed.
Xbox is still cheaper @ $200 bucks and even though it's a pretty bare bones model, the avg consumer won't know or care.
The PS3 is doing mighty good and WW, it's surely outselling the 360 on a monthly basis.

I'm pretty sure an 11 million lead in NA will give the 360 a HUGE edge when it comes to software sales. Use some of that logic logicwins.

I really do hope EPIC sticks to their word and doesn't follow Gears 3 with a fourth, because honestly, the ending the third game was pretty good.
Now, a game about the Pendulum Wars or E-Day would be great. But a direct sequel.... I just don't see it.

Attachment rate is the same if not higher on Ps3. The PS3 has outsold the 360 every year since release.
The only reason that the 360 is ahead is because it had ONE year, (ONE AND HALF years in Europe) all to itself.
Most of the highest rated games are either PS3 exclusives (UC2, MGS4, LBP) or also available on PS3 (ME2, GTA IV etc).
So, Based on those criteria I'd say a strong argument has been made in favor of PS3.

Notice how the Ps3 version of multiplats are outselling the 360 version over in Europe? That because of the bigger install just like in NA 360 version of multiplats outsell PS3. That's for all you folks always asking why PS3 sells less in NA, there's you're answer.
