Well, it's not like he's going to say "No, X1 is doing pretty bad still". With how terrible the X1 was doing before, any kind of improvement could be seen as "flying off the shelves".
@ic3fir3
Nothing short of announcing GTA or Fallout exclusive would top this. MS is in quite a hard place.
Yea, they're not working on Chrome either. But they do on Firefox, and I've got to say, Sony just won E3.
That's probably because VGchartz has a clear and proven history of overtracking Xbox and Undertracking PS.
Personally, I could see the X1 doing better these next two weeks as well, simply because PS4 supply is terrible and Titanfall is launching. Once Sony has stable supply though, it'll easily remain ahead for the rest of the year (until an X1 price cut)
@IIZANGETSUII
It's not a reliable source, but it's a good gauge of what's going on. Given their history, just assume their undertracking Playstation and over tracking Xbox, and you'll get a good picture of things.
So in this case, it's likely the PS4 is doing even better than they say
@Jokesonyou
You have to keep in mind it's supplied constrained in Japan, just like everywhere else. Famitsu themselves said that Sony sold pretty much all their stock.
Egh, I don't know. As of late, they're off sometimes but they do provide a good sense of what's going on. They tend to overtrack Xbox and undertrack Playstation so if they're numbers show PS4 ahead then it's probably more ahead than they show (if the makes sense)
So yea, while they may not be perfectly reliable, I look at it as a good (and fun) little gauge of what's going on.
They could do a Vita 2k relaunch with Minecraft and properly designed CoD for $149. Outside of that, I don't the Vita coming back from the dead in NA.
What planet are you on dude. One of the 360s biggest advantages was superior third party games for most of last gen. It made up for MS' weak first party output
No it can't unless MS is able to replicate their massive last gen advantage (nearly 2 to 1 in the US). Thatisn't happening
The Global ratio would still be in the Ps4's favor. You have to realize, the 4:1, 3:1 ratios were mostly in European countries, places where the X1's main features didn't even work.
MS is free to focus almost completely on NA, and the UK to a lesser extent. They don't have to worry about the rest of the world because it'd be pretty much futile (the PS4 is steamrolling it). Sony has to divide their stock between 40+ countries.
What this mea...
I can't believe how little Sony seemed to care about GT6. It just felt like they sent it out to die, and given the results, it would have fared much better as a Ps4 title.
I still think the Ps3 has enough life in it to eventually hit 100 million.
No need, they've been in stock for hours now. PS4 ran out in like 20 minutes though :/
We got two games two weeks ago. Man the stupidity of that baffles me, wait till January before drawing conclusions. Or perhaps you don't know how plus works?
We just got two free games two weeks ago (Friday in Europe). What the heck did you expect? Wait till January
I should hope MS has a better launch, they're going out in 13 countries vs. the PS4's one, if MS can't even match the PS4 like that then it'd be seriously troubling. Especially since the Ps4 will launch in 30 or so countries on the 29th.
Which makes sense since the 360 outsold the PS3 2 to 1 in the US.
It really is pretty crazy. I think some people fail to realize just how huge NA was for MS this gen. I mean, they sold something like 44 million of the 360s in NA, outsold the Ps3 by 2 to 1. It's literally the only reason the 360 kept up with the PS3.
If the marketshare shits to 50/50 or even 60/40 (in MS' favor), it will be a huge blow and pretty much wipe any chance of keeping up with the PS4.
So you talk about 20 minutes out of two hour conference and ignore the other 1 hour 1/2 that Sony spent on just games. Yup, totally not biased.
