The Wii is still #1 overall, but the 360 has definitely been #1 through 2011 and, I believe, 2010. In fact, iirc, the 360 is closer to the wii than the PS3 is to the 360 (In NA, of course).

@Easilythebest

Though if they're selling this well, maybe they'll put the 720 off for another year. Eh, I don't know, it really could go either way.

It's funny cause I remember the start of this gen, SONY was bashed left and right for trying to introduce the PS3 as more of a media center than simply just a gaming machine. But now that MS is doing it, wow! It's so damn amazing ain't it? Seriously, this gen is messed up on so many levels.

Exactly and retailers wouldn't buy something that's not selling.

Nintendo is finally going after multiplat titles that are huge on PS3/360. If they could release first with, say, a Call of Duty game then they'd probably have a great start and might even go as far as becoming the console of choice for core games next gen. But then again, who knows what will happen.

PS3 + PC = Pure win. I'm so glad I finally made the investment into a gaming PC, best decision I ever made.

I kept my 360 for Gears 3 last year and Halo 4 this year. That and I really can't get much money for it so there's no point in selling at this point (it's an older model).

*rubs eyes*

What the heck is this? Are they serious? Most of these are kinect games and few downloadable titles. The only really games in that list are halo, gears and forza (the typical 3) along with Alan Wake.

I mean seriously, I want most of these games to keep far away from my PS3. That last thing I want is for SONY to go down the casual route like MS has so gladly done. This is laughable. Talk about grasping for straws.

If the Wii-U were to get a real Pokemon RPG I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Even after so many years I still love Pokemon games.

Truth hurts sometimes and people can't accept it hence they censor what is plainly a fact. This images are fake, laughable, and pure flaimbait. Though I don't expect much more from a crap site like IGN.

A Spin-Off, imo, would be great. Bioware has created such a great universe, why not make the most of it? As long as the quality and fun is there, I'll keep buying.

Honestly, by this point I've come to accept the fact that ME is no longer an RPG/Shooter, it's just a TPS with very light RPG elements but at the same time, ME2 was great so I can't really complain.

By this point in time anybody serious about gaming should have a PS3. Otherwise you'd be missing out on the GOTY for 2008, 2009, 2010 and hell even some really great exclusives in 2011. Not to mention 2012 and beyond looks amazing. There's absolutely no reason not to own a PS3. And for people who say that no SONY game actually interests them, I'm sorry but you're either a blind fanboy or have terrible taste in games (especially with such variety found in PS3 exclusives).

LoL, and I bet late 2012 they'll write something along the lines of "How SONY went wrong in 2012" or "Why 2012 was not the year of the PlayStation" etc etc.

As a gamer (not a financial analyst or stock holder), the PS3 has been my #1 console for the last few years and will continue to do so into 2012. Tons of excellent exclusives, free and well made online service, as well as all the great multiplatform titles. As a gamer, what more could I want?

It's been proven that going multiplat hinders a game's potential especially when going from PS3 exclusive to 360. The major issue is the 360's DVD limitation. It's a glaring flaw and versus could very well suffer because of it.

Serves them right. We may not be able to do much but consumers can most definitely speak with they wallets and they have. At this point, FFvs13 will hopefully remain exclusive and meet all the hype, other wise it's just gonna keep going downhill for SE (not that they could sink much further).

Well, there's been plenty of proof to back that up. That's probably why. VGchartz is notorious for overtracking 360 and undertracking PS3.

@Game3s

You're blind if you haven't noticed the incredible hate and anti-Sony sentiment over the past few years. It's absolutely ridiculous and even with all this hate they've consistently outsold the 360 every year since release (WW). I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing much better than a bunch of random internet trolls.

A Sony product is doomed, WOW I'm just speechless!! /s

Why doubt Sony again, they've proven time and time again that they know exactly what they're doing. They've been able to sell over 100 million consoles not once, but twice. They were able to make the PSP a huge success, the biggest non-nintendo handheld ever with over 70 million units (if you thinks that too little, you're delusional), and they've made the PS3 a huge success even with a late start,...

5283d ago 12 agree6 disagreeView comment

It's really simple, PS3 has more exclusives, most of them get sequels which means they're selling at or above expectations. Most of them are quality. In no way are any of them, (of course with some exceptions) struggling. And other than Halo, no other 360 sells as much as the GT games (if I recall correctly, GT5 is currently ahead of all the Gears games).
