Hell Yea!
Very awesome news. If DRM and online checks are gone, I'll be buying both an X1 and PS4 this holiday season.
Well with all it's issues, it's still a new console. I'm honestly more surprised the PS4 has been so dominant since this the U.S., Microsoft's turf. MS loosing the US market means it's over for them.
@Testfire, GT5 is actually on it's way to 11 million units lifetime http://www.polyphony.co.jp/...
That's better than every Halo game except Halo 3 (which was the peak of that series at around 12 million)
@Hufandpuf, it was audiovisual problems, same with MS on Crimson Dragon and BF4. There were also some glitches during EA and Ubisoft's conferences. This is was entirely a technical problem on whoever organizes E3, not the Xbox or PS4.
All Sony has to do is inform people of the restrictions on the Xbone. As much as people don't want to admit it, the average joe WILL care when he/she has to pay 100 bucks more only to find they can't rent, lend, or sell their games (unless publishers allow it of course). On top of that, all the other DRM and privacy issues.
The casual audience MS needs WILL be affected.
What he said is true, and he didn't even mention the $100 hike up. That will certainly affect the interest among the casual audience. So with the majority of core gamers up in arms in outrage, who exactly is left?
Expected though. KH is unconfirmed yet. Either way, with better spec the PS4 version will no doubt be superior.
Their best E3 in a long time, but most of the games that interested me, I can get on PS4 or PC, and they didn't talk about DRM, Privacy, or any of the other concerns. Gaming wise, very solid. The price though, $499 is too much, and their prices outside the U.S. are even worse. If the PS4 is cheaper, it's pretty much DoA outside the U.S. and maybe the U.K.
MS just committed suicide.
I'm done with insomniac. They complain about PS exclusivity yet go with EA and now to MS? Yea, good riddance. I hope Sony doesn't let them come crawling back to R&C.
It looks like crap. Bland graphics, bad animations, clunky gameplay, QTEs up the wazoo. Man, what a disappointment.
Yup, can't wait to play it on Ps4.
If recent rumors about them working on exclusives for X1, I'm officially done with Insomniac.
But, but Microsoft has 15 games!! That means they're better even though we know nothing about them!!! /s
@TrainRailsRT
MS is having yield issues because of the esram they went with. Sony is not since their setup is much simpler and smaller.
Well I'm guessing MS would could it something like Next gen exclusive or something. What's worrying is, are they counting this as one of their "15 exclusives"? Because if they are that means a lot of those 15 could end up being for PC/360 as well, which I don't think would do much (especially people who own a PC, like myself).
At this point, I think it's safe to say MS is desperate. They've were caught off guard by Sony, they're behind on production, facing either a delay or massive shortages, their games are still far from ready and they absolutely cannot afford to let the PS4 release first.
Solution? Throw money at third parties and rush out the console.
Phew, pretty glad it wasn't X1 exclusive like rumored. I'll be buying it on PC.
MGS being on X1, X360, PS4, and PS3 means it'll have a much a wider audience which means much greater success for a series that definitely deserves it. I don't get why people think that's a bad thing. Was Kojima paid off to be at the conference? who knows, maybe maybe not. Was he paid for this praise? I really don't think so. He likes using extra stuff in his games and Kinect could allow him to some neat things here and there. I'm sure it won't compromise the PS4 and P...
