read 26.2 or my previous comment. what makes this outrageous is that MS is slapping Rockstar across the face by saying, "Its not Rockstars talent that makes this game good it is our console". When i'm sure Rockstar would have loved to make the 360 have a mandatory install, but are not allowed to.
you can be sure that the hands-on builds, regardless of console, that Rock* has shown everyone have already done the install to give the journalists the best possible experience. they updated the editor so the tools are all there to do total conversions for ps3...... except the sound :( currently you can't add your own sound/music files or anything. you can swap the sounds around that are already there however you like though.

They should call the smaller accomplishments "Medals" and the larger accomplishments "Trophies". If they make these things worthwhile, and actually have a use, thats the only way i'll even care. I see the Trophies showing up as items in Home. They showed us a preview of that in the last update with the bubble machine. Each game should have 3 or 4 actual trophies/medals that can be clothing/accessories for your avatar (your avatar should have a slot(s) for equipable items) ...

i like the discussion about revising review scores for patched games. I think the solution would be to do a review of the patch itself. A review that weighs the good and bad of the patch. The patchwork review score should not be a 1-10 scale or whatever, it should be scored according to how much it affects the game. all this "Noel" says is that it's not included in this 2.30 firmware update, which still leaves the possibility of it being included as an individual download on the 17th with the store update. they definitely have something up their sleeves though. don't really care, i'll be happy with the warhawk expansion for a while.
preordering shows specific consumer interest in games according to platform, location, age, and income brackets. Preordering helps your local game store order, and serve you, their patron, more accurately and efficiently. Also game companies are helped by knowing which franchises have hardcore fans, and which new ip's generate consumer interest.
