...on barking up the right tree Goulet.
These are corporations, they have no obligation to the truth. They only have an obligation to convince you. Its not necessary for either one of them to be lying. It IS possible that one, or both of them are wrong. Besides, why does it matter? They both want your money just as bad as the other, and will jump through flaming hoops to get it (or at least tell you they did).
Games have always been released with bugs. A new map bug was found in Super Mario Bros. just a couple months ago! I personally am thankful that developers have the ability to listen to user feedback, revise their code, and present us with a patch fixing things that break their game. There are however several examples of games that have gone to market obviously and completely broken, and been patched to work properly at a later date. This explotation of the patching ability is unfortunate, but...
There better be flying freaking cars and skateboards too or I'm suing the crap out of Back to the Future 2.
I'm glad I'm not invited. I'd hate to get drool all over LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3. Yeah, that's it, glad.
Are you serious? Can I just go ahead and nip this one in the bud by translating what they said into simplified terms?
"almost HD" = Almost FULL HD. Progressive is better than Interlaced and all of us know it.
You can stop being mad now. Yeesh, talk about overreacting!
These people take existing resources and improve on them. I'm sure if the developers went back and critiqued their own work they could make some improvements themselves. Not such a bad idea, actually.
Sure, I named a few positives, but for every one of them I could name 5 games that have weighed heavily on graphics, and glanced over the overall animation quality. I'm not saying its all bad, just that it's something that has grown at a different pace from graphics. Wouldn't you say that its easier to immerse yourself in a game that has fluid animation/not so great graphics than a game with choppy animation/gorgeous graphics? I'd personally rather look at a believable moving robot than a bel...
Yeah, but how's it move? All the looks in the world amount to nothing if it doesn't have believable movement. That's one of the main things that bother me about the graphical quality increasing so rapidly in the last several years. Animation has almost completely taken a back seat to textures and polygons. When you can make a screenshot look like those its easy to get people pumped and ignore that your models move with all the lifelike motion of a Dalek.
Its true though that animation ...
every developer who has taken the time to get past the split memory obstacle has done it by investigating Cell. And to my knowledge each of the has been if not excited, at least satisfied, about the results.
umm, you could WATCH THEM!! An excellent way to pass the time :D
the only one on that list was Dead Rising.
Halo3...NO.
Alan Wake, even though almost nothing is known about it.
Splinter Cell: Conviction, pretty much the same as A.Wake though.
Other than that, i just want the PS3 games that aren't out yet.
'Outpacing' maybe?
Jeebus! These videos need to stop already. What's the point? If the developer does their job correctly the differences should be so insignificant that a lousy video won't be able to showcase it.
Off topic, but after playing MGS4 for several hours yesterday I noticed that the game itself is confirmation that it will NEVER be released on any other platform. There are far far too many Apple and Sony things in the game to ever be released on PC or 360.
I laughed, imagining Kojima saying to his staff "How can we prove to them that it won't ever be ported to 360?"
Yet again good ol' Kojima, your game is awesome, and I'm only past the 1st Act. I hope this is just a t...
you can also change the camo on your chest harness for an extra 5% or so. its simple but it doesn't change itself like the octo-camo so if you're in a red area and its green you'll lose 5%
I can't help but wonder though. Will the developers who develop the same games for Wii/Ps3(/and apparently 360 but there's not much more than loose rumors about the "Newton") bother making the graphics Ps3 quality, or will they just keep the quality the same? Sony is probably doing this to capitalize on casual games which are fun because they are quick enjoyable experiences, not necessarily because they are graphically awesome. I pray for Zack and Wiki on my Ps3, as it is one of the...
one could even say his name was... Fischy? o_0
Welcome to E3 2008, this year should be exciting
Of course he's regretful. I'm surprised he didn't get fired. The funny thing is most of the people he offended are proud to be called geeks or otaku. It was just a matter of him making what he said sound so degrading. The fact is, right now Nintendo can paint a turd white, slap a Wii logo on it and it will sell 10 million the first week, and most of those sales will not come from geeks or otaku. They will come from soccer moms, and other mainstreamers who believe Nintendo is wholesome for the...
so when does this come out again?
