Because the UK and Canada have more red tape to cut through with regards to contests and giveaways.
I don't expect all news sources to be English speaking sites. I do however expect to be able to read anything posted on an English new aggregate. Therefore I do not see the point in submitting articles from sites that do not service the English speaking masses. I have nothing against non-English websites. I am sure they provide great information to the people who speak whatever languages they service, but they do not really have a place here.
The translation from Google ...
I wish people would stop posting these translate.google.de articles. They are barely legible, so what is the point?
I certainly don't condone such a decision. In fact I am completely against it. However, let's not pretend that women are the only victims of sexism.
No one makes an article about "Ladies night" at the local clubs. No one seems to care that only men are required to register for selective service upon turning 18. There are plenty of "women only" retreats.
I wonder how much of a fuss would be made if the tables were turned, and male...
Number 5 is the one I would pick out of those choices. That is if I could be bothered to pick one.
He probably enjoys cheesecake and bacon too. Maybe delicious foods drove him to shooting. As long as we aren't blaming him, right? We have to stay away from that "personal accountability" nonsense. Clearly something else is to blame.
You would be better off waiting for the Super Resident Evil 6: Ultimate Evil Gold Umbrella Alpha EX Edition, starring Evil Ryu as a special guest character.
I will wait for the inevitable gold edition.
If you have ever looked at the pictures in a McDonald's drive through you have seen examples of graphics surpassing real world visuals. Those burgers don't look that good in real life.
So common sense emerged victorious. This is a truly rare occasion.
Edit: Congratulations to the Australian gamers out there.
The extra value of a GOTY edition does come at the cost of having to wait many months before making the purchase. Not that waiting is a bad thing mind you. I do it a lot myself. Online communities though (for online enabled games) tend to be at their peak near a game's launch.
The fans have only themselves to blame. By now everyone should be painfully aware of Capcom's practices. If you don't want to get ripped off, then wait for the inevitable "Super, Ultimate, Gold Edition" releases.
I guarantee you that if enough people stopped buying the first releases Capcom would get the message. Money speaks louder than forum posts.
Attack dogs strapped with C4 huh? I can see the Fox News article now.
So pick a theme and ignore the rest. No one is forcing you to buy the games each year. Actually, no one is forcing you to buy the games at all.
To be fair, the last Modern Warfare game was released nearly two years ago.
I will just wait for the inevitable Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Alpha EX Tournament Gold Edition.
Yes, it is a game, with the ultimate goal of being enjoyable. Having your gun jam every 15 nanoseconds is not enjoyable.
Respawning checkpoints every 5 minutes is also an annoyance. I have no problem with checkpoints respawning, but they don't need to respawn nearly immediately.
Guns don't jam in real life nearly as frequently as they do in FC2. That isn't realism. It is just added annoyance.
Is anyone else wondering how exactly GameStop would be privy to that kind of information? How would a GameStop executive know whether or not the game will be available on Steam? That decision would be between EA and Valve.
Oh who gives a crap? Microsoft is a business, with the sole purpose of gaining profit by selling products and services. No one should expect them to stop doing business just because one person in the world died.
People need to grow some thicker skin. Amy Whitehouse is dead, along with probably several hundred other people in the world who died this week. Guess what? She isn't around anymore to care about Microsoft's marketing, and her family is profiting from it.
