I don't get the point in keeping it off Steam. It will be available on other digital retailers, so it is not an Origin exclusive or anything. What do they have to lose by including it on Steam?
You could choose not to listen. What prompted you do come into this article? If the article represents something to which are are opposed, or something you wish not to read, then why did you click on it?
I suspect that deep down you seek out conflict as a way to give your life meaning. You should talk to someone about that.
I blame the rioters, but I am old school like that. I was born in a time when people were responsible for their actions.
Frankly it surprises me a bit that this type of story resounds so well with the masses. I understand that people love shifting responsibility, but blaming video games for violet acts is akin to admitting that you do not have control over your own life.
It surprises me that more people aren't offended that the media is suggesting that p...
He broke into his school and stole some computers when he was 14, and he paid his debt to society. Plenty of people rebel in their teen years. That does not make him a criminal in the spirit of the word.
Also, being a sociopath does not make a person inherently evil.
No I don't suspect that consoles will ever be as expensive as gaming PCs. The console manufacturers cater to people who just want to plug in their machines and play their games. There is absolutely nothing wrong with just wanting to play.
The PC crowd is just a different sect of people. We don't mind spending more money for a better experience. PC hardware manufacturers cater to us. Console manufacturers cater to console people.
I just think that maki...
The cost does not matter to those of us who can afford it.
I never stated that it was "the end of the world". I think you are being overly dramatic. I also think it is worth noting that the only person who seems particularly "outraged" is you.
One of the wonderful things about being a sentient being is that I am quite capable of caring about multiple things at once. I have made no mention of said starving children because it is not relevant to this particular forum. Please try to stay on topic.

I can live with the scenario with regard to any luxury. That is hardly the point though. I should not have to live with it to play a single player game. In fact I won't live with it. I just won't buy the game.
Bethesda does not own a trademark for "Scrolls". They do own a trademark for "The Elder Scrolls", but that isn't the same thing at all.
You mean to say that it is always connected to your cable provider unless the provider is doing maintenance, or until a forest fire kills your connection, or until a lightning bolt drops a tree on your line, or until someone crashes into the converter box at the street corner, or until...well you get the point. You do get the point right?
By the way each of those examples has happened in my area over the last 2 years.
It matters even less considering that people can customize their character anyway, or just import their character from a save.
Edit: Keep in mind people that the FemShep design was voted on by fans. It was a completely democratic choice. If you voted for a different FemShep, then you can complain. If you did not vote at all however, then you don't have the right to complain.
I don't get the point in admitting that you are surprised at fan reactions. You are basically telling the world that you are out of touch with your customers by saying that. What kind of backwards PR is that?
Yeah I bet they are pulling an Alice again. I would not be surprised to see Battlefield 3 released on Steam the Friday after it is released on Origin, at which point I will buy it.
I have plenty of other games to play.
The voice chat works fine on the PS3 version, except during loading screens.
Last night a storm killed my internet access for 4 hours. It is not the end of the world, and it does not happen every day, but it does happen, and it should not prevent me from playing single player games.
Hell, forget me though. What about the people out there who just have crappy internet service, or no internet service at all?
Well that settles it. I am sad to say that I won't be purchasing Diablo 3.
The game can't be played offline. That is a big negative for me.
The game economy is going to be driven by real money. I find that to be unacceptable.
Mods are prohibited. I could actually live with this one.
Blizzard just isn't the same after the Activision merge.
I don't know about anyone else, but I bought a metric crapton of games during the Steam summer sale.
I am really tired of hearing people complain about campers. I stay mobile throughout the entire match and I don't have any trouble getting around campers.
If people would spend half the time learning the maps as they do complaining about campers, then they would be able to counter them.
Here are a few tips:
1) Check your map.
2) Check your corners.
3) Use your tactical grenades.
4) Change...
I don't think anyone is disputing that EA has the right to sell it's intellectual property where it wants. People are just complaining that the game is not presently set to be available where they would prefer to purchase it. That is as valid a complaint as any I think.
According to my Steam library window I have 378 games on my Steam account. I have plenty to play to pass the time. If Battlefield 3 is not available where I want to buy it, then I will just pass it by....
