Here is my argument for the people who say that Catwoman is advertised content:

Advertised content means nothing when you buy a product used. When you buy something used you buy it "as is" and your agreement is between you and the seller, not the manufacturer.

The manufacturer only has a responsibility to the original purchaser.

With the ridiculous amount of sales on the Steam service, some of which are upwards of 90% off, it is clear to me that Santa Clause is involved in the process somewhere.

The problem with review scores is that they are incredibly inconsistent. One game will get a lower score for lack of originality, and another game will get a higher score for being "more of the same".

It is incredibly frustrating seeing that kind of inconsistency.

It is only $1,679.72 before tax. I spend about that or more on gifts during the holidays every year. I am certainly not "loaded", but I do have a decent salary. It also doesn't hurt that I get a holiday bonus.

That is actually what you do with every game. You lease a license.

Batman has a great deal of personality when he is Bruce Wayne. When he dons the hood he is all business, just the way he should be.

@gcolley

If you are complaining about something that is included in new copies of the game, then logic dictates that you were likely intent on buying it used, and therefore were not going to be supporting it anyway.

I find it difficult to believe that he had never heard of Battlefield before 5 months ago. The Battlefield franchise predates the Call of Duty franchise.

Hey watch what you say about PETA. I am a proud member of People Eating Tasty Animals, and I won't stand for any of that nonsense.

I expect to be playing it a long time myself. I just completed another run of Arkham Asylum this weekend in preparation.

@danielle007

Actually, I have never made a single mistake when purchasing anything from anywhere. I always review my purchase before submitting them.

I don't just talk out of my ass. I actually practice what I preach.

Oh and a single case of bad customer service is the very definition of an isolated incident.

To be clear, by mistake, I mean submitting an order erroneously. Sure I have had my share of mis-clicks, but I alw...

So basically, you made a mistake in your purchase details not once, but twice, and now you don't want to sleep in the bed you made.

How about just make sure your stuff is right before clicking submit?

Clearly you didn't make any kind of effort to ensure that you were making the right purchase, because you screwed up twice.

@Biggest

My point remains. If you don't want to read spoilers then take it upon yourself to avoid reading articles about an unreleased game. People need to have some personal accountability and stop blaming everyone else.

Sure, it may be unprofessional to write spoilers about an unreleased game, but the gaming press does not exactly have a good track record for professionalism.

5283d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

If you are worried about spoilers then why did you read the article? You only have yourself to blame.

How is that even an issue? You can level up that one soldier in every class. Why would anyone need a second soldier?

The Catwoman content is included in every new copy of the game. If you want to play that content, which is a small part of the campaign, then buy the game new to support the developers, or buy the code. If that content is not worth the price point, then you as a consumer have every right not to buy it.

If you buy the game used then Rocksteady gets $0.

If you don't buy the game because you don't agree with the practice then Rocksteady gets $0.

@Quagmire

Actually it is a lot like buying a car and paying extra for the sports package. No one seems to mind doing that, so why does everyone hate on optional additions to games?

5287d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I am not even going to read the article after seeing the picture. There is nothing overrated about Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I have put 100 hours into it so far, with different playthroughs.

It could be argued that the laser is actually using a frequency that is invisible to the naked eye, but your eye augment allows you to see it.

At any given time you can pilot a helicopter, drive a tank, and fly a fixed wing aircraft, because you are apparently the most cross-trained soldier on the planet. You can be healed by magical pixie dust infused med-kits. Engineers can fix literally everything in 2 minutes with no materials at all, and the support class has an infinite supply of ammo boxes that materialize out of a pocket dimension you have attached to your belt.

This guy really decided to pick on flashlights...
