Clearly my definition of "evidence" differs from that of the author's. A PR company that, by the author's own admission, does not have big ties to PWE is evidence of PWE? Even if the acquisition goes through, that quoted statement suggests that Warframe will remain largely the same as it is now, and presently every non-cosmetic item in the game can be acquired via normal play.
@WitWolfy
There is a village named Hell in Norway, and a city named Hell in Michigan, US. Hell freezes over more often than people think. :)
This is pretty ridiculous. Most of the games on this calendar have equal (or unconfirmed) resolution and frame rate anyway, so what is the point of it?
I'm looking forward to it. It reminds me of Giants: Citizen Kabuto. I sunk a lot of hours into that game.
I would like the ability to organize my games into folders, and it would be nice to have some sorting/filtering options for the Library.
Games are no more expensive now than they were when I started gaming in 1988. NES games were $29.99 back then. Factoring for inflation, that is equivalent to $60.10 today.
Notoriety is a dynamic stat. You gain it by winning online interactions, and you lose it by losing online interactions. Since it is something that can be lost through normal play, I don't see why people are so up in arms about being reset to 0 by opting out of the aforementioned online interactions. Also, can't your girlfriend just play on another profile? Multiple profiles is a thing.
If you want your initial playthrough to be undisturbed, then just disable the online invasions in the beginning, and enable them after your playthrough. At the beginning you will be at 0 notoriety, with no notoriety-based skills anyway, so being "reset" to 0 won't be terribly inconvenient.
That is fair. I didn't consider that scenario, though I suppose I should have. I have seen enough people boosting killstreaks in CoD by putting a friend on the opposite team. That is pretty pathetic. Alternatively, they could just count disconnects as a loss, but not count it as a win for the other player. Sure, there would still be the occasional person who is just enough of an A-hole to disconnect to deny the win to someone else, but I figure most people wouldn't bother if they are ...
Wouldn't a better solution be to just count disconnects as a loss? As Wedge18 stated above, it can be difficult to determine whether a disconnect is intentional or unintentional. If they are counted as a loss then no one will have an incentive to intentionally disconnect, and if you unintentionally disconnect, a loss is a relatively harmless consequence.
Handhelds notwithstanding, backward compatibility has only been available on like 5 consoles, and not all of them even had full backward compatibility. It is hardly an industry standard. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the exclusion of backward compatibility is "malicious".
Meh. I always planned to buy the full version anyway.
I never played any of the Mass Effect games last gen. I would welcome a remastered trilogy on current gen platforms.
@Alsybub
Reviews shouldn't be subjective though. They should be objective.
@lilbroRx
I keep saying this, but it is only hypocrisy if it is the same people who are making the conflicting comments. If person A and person B are both fans of the same thing, and person A makes a statement that conflicts with a statement made by person B, then there is no hypocrisy.
It is ignorant to generalize people.
@stevehyphen
Daggerfall's world is 62 square miles. According to this article, two areas in Witcher 3 equal 52 square miles by themselves. It is reasonable to conclude that the entire world map will be larger than Daggerfall's.
The general perception of the word is irrelevant. The definition has no negative connotation. My point is that the word, as it is defined, is used correctly in the title.
To many people above:
Suspicion (noun): A feeling or thought that something is possible, likely, or true.
-Oxford English Dictionary
The word was used correctly. Sure the title was meant to attract attention, but that is the point of a title.
Gamer (Noun): A person who plays a game or games.
Whether you like it or not, those "dudebros" who play only a game or two, are by definition, gamers. I'd wager that most of them are too busy playing those few games to pass judgment on other gamers, like you are doing right now.
I am left handed, and in 26 years of gaming, I have never once used southpaw controls. I have tried, and I just can't get used to it. I don't really understand the point of inverting the thumbsticks and triggers. I've just never had a desire to invert the controls. I've never had a moment where I thought "it would be easier for me if the sticks and triggers were inverted".
