I like how he says that he isn't referring to all Sony fans, but in his summary he says that, as a PS4 owner, it's upsetting to be part of a toxic group.

This article is extremely unprofessional, uninformative, and immature. It does nothing to generate intelligent discussion, and serves only to generate pointless drama. The people who approved it should be ashamed.

Well that is good news. I was looking forward to playing it. I don't mind waiting a while longer.

"Release "Rise of the Tomb Raider" on Ps4/PC or face a boycott on the game."

That ultimatum doesn't make any sense. In order to boycott the game, you have to be able to purchase it in the first place. The only people who can boycott the game are the Xbox One owners, and they don't have any incentive to do so.

Edit: This was supposed to be a reply to kingboy (#11) above.

There are now 10 million PS4 owners in the world, and by Holiday 2015 that number will probably be greater than 20 million. That is a lot of potential customers to miss out on. It's a shame really. I was looking forward to playing it. I have nothing against the Xbox One, but I have a finite amount of free time, and my PS4 is sufficient to fill it, so I don't find it necessary to purchase another console. Fortunately Uncharted 4 releases around the same time.

@ghostface9

Dead Space 3 was on PS Plus last month. Crysis 3 is on PS Plus this month.

@DarkOcelot

PS3 and Xbox 360 are listed as platforms on the official site.

I never played the Metro games last gen, so Redux will be a completely fresh experience for me. I'm definitely picking it up.

I would definitely get on board with a subscription option, but I won't bother with the individual rental fees.

I wish that just once, when someone makes a claim that "every or most of x or y fanboy" said something, that he or she would provide some empirical evidence to support that claim. I can't imagine gangsta_red actually compiled such a list. You can't just look at a handful of comments and claim that those comments represent any significant percentage of a group.

I understand the desire to have physical things like movies, games, books, etc, but a statue is a poor example for a counterargument. There is a fundamental difference between a statue and a picture of a statue. There is not a fundamental difference in information found in a strategy guide versus information found online, except that the online information is free and more up to date.

I'm amazed that strategy guides are still a thing. Games like Diablo 3 are constantly being changed with patches, so the information in the guide will eventually be obsolete, and with sites like GameFAQs and services like YouTube, it is easy to get information about a game for free. How do companies make money off physical guides anymore?

That is a shame, because I have had a great time playing mine.

Consumers vote with their wallets. There seems to be a demand for these remakes, otherwise developers wouldn't keep making them. I can't blame the developers for attempting to maximize their profits when the demand is there to meet. That is just good business.

I see a lot of comments to the effect of "PS Plus subscribers should get x or y". The fact of the matter is that PS Now was never promised to be part of the PS Plus subscription, so we shouldn't expect it to be. None of you entered into the subscription with a reasonable expectation of any discounts or freebies related to the PS Now service, so it is unreasonable to have that expectation now. Consumers have a tendency to pay for a cookie, and expect a glass of milk to come with ...

No one should expect it to be a cross-buy game, because it wasn't advertised as such. When you buy a product you are exchanging your money for that product, as it is, with the expectation that it will function as it is promised to function. Cross-Buy was never a promised feature for TLoU, so expecting it after the fact is unreasonable.

I have been a PlayStation fan since the day the original PlayStation was released, but I take issue with Sony's stance here. It should be up to the customers to determine whether or not something has value to them.

4260d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

I would buy it. I very much enjoyed the first 2, and I never played Uncharted 3.

4267d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Who cares if it is a cash grab? If people don't feel that the remastered edition is worth the asking price, then they simply won't part with their money. I for one, having never played the game last generation, welcome the release.

People act like businesses aren't in it to make money.

Expectation is the leading cause of disappointment. I didn't expect it to be anything more than what it was, and I probably enjoyed it more because of that. If you don't want to be disappointed, try curbing your expectations. At the very least, make sure your expectations are realistic.

@RBdrift

If they honored the warranty 3 days after the expiration date, then that would become the new baseline. Then someone would complain about being only 3 days past that date. Where do you expect them to draw the line?
