Bethesda, till you change this I don't buy your stuff. You refuse to let people give me the real information about your game in an attempt to manufacture low information consumers and then trick them into buying your stuff based exclisively on pre-release hype while actively punishing people who do as you "recommend" and wait for reviews with pre-order nonsense, I refuse to give you my money. Not just until I have information abou...

What's that about jackwagons and how the demonize normal, healthy sexuality?

Everyones problems with it or things they love about it are going to be personal sweetie. That's the whole point.

And sorry but "the tech is impressive" isn't a reason to give a perfect review if you don't enjoy your time with it (or don't enjoy it as much as other people.)

@Anticooper Why are you saying that as if I ever said I begrudge anyone liking PSVR? I didn't. I don't care if you like it or love it or literally ta...

No, justice wasn't served. Justice would be a giant fine for knowingly committing perjury.

I hate lists like these.

You missed how DOOM basically invented a genre. (I mean, wolfenstien came first but if you they hadn't just started releasing new ones would you even know the name?)
You missed how Gears of War basically invented a sub-genre.
You missed how Halo is the basis for basically every scifi shooter since.
You missed Resident Evil codifying a genre.
You missed GTA 3 more or less inventing the modern open world ga...

1: The idea that anyone elses subjective experience of a product (and the review they gave it based on that) is somehow invald or unacceptable because it isn't the same as yours is preposterous. I'd give it a 3/10. Know why? I get motion sickness when playing some (though not many) normal games, any form of VR is *completely* unplayable after the first like 3 minutes so I get 0 enjoyment out of it. In fact it actively makes my day worse because not only am I not having fun, I won'...

Yeah, they're dead.

Except for the 5 million + Guild Wars 2 Players and 5 million + WoW subscribers and all those people who play Planetside 2 and, and, and.

Not as popular as it once was because other companies have honed in on some of the things that used to only be in MMORPGs specifically =/= MMOs are dead, especially as MMORPGs have been making a concerted effort to minimize and/or eliminate grind and technology advancements since 2005 making th...

Not with how that upscaling works it won't. We've already seen screenshots and gameplay footage, and we already know how the rendering technique softens the edges. (Which digital foundry also explicitly pointed out if you want to play that game.) You might not see it in fast paced action sequences, it will definitely be noticeable in other areas because it is definitely noticeable already.

When their whole marketing push was "4k" and now what they're ...

Normal GPU/CPU chipsets can only underclock/undervolt so far before the simply cease functioning. What they're saying is they built their chipset specifically so that it can continue to function properly at a lower % of it's optimum power input.

The reason they'd do that is so that it can provide a higher quality experience on the TV when it's docked and has power to spare, but it can also enter a much lower power state when you're using it as a handhel...

@wonderfulmonkeyman

Yeah, they were. Or did you not notice that the home console games all require very, very little of modern console hardware? There are tablets more powerful than the 360, running Skyrim isn't exactly a feat. Unless they want to charge 1200 bucks, it won't even come close to the current consoles (much less a PC.)

What it *will* do is let people take those "home console games," complete with proper controls, with them a...

There is no such thing as a gimmick free nintendo console. Unless you've been waiting since the snes and it's 3d cartraige thing. the 64 had a weird controller and the rumble pack, the gamecube had the weird controller and the weird disks, the wii had motion controls, the wii U had it's gamepad.

You can't trust any site that engages in the pre-release hype machine at least.

3443d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

I didn't say anything about not liking it, I said you shouldn't trust IGN because they give almost everything a 7-10, with only truly dire games getting lower than 6.

3443d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

I will, just to be sure everyone gets it. They gave FF13 an 8.9, deeming it "great."

3443d ago 3 agree5 disagreeView comment

IGN gave FF13 an 8.9, calling it "Great." So there is that. Just saying. If you want an actual review, you don't go to IGN.

Am I the only person who sees "reinvent the JRPG" and thinks "oh, so has nothing I actually liked about JRPGs in it?" I mean, that is what happened last time they tried to "reinvent" the series.

I don't go back and play chrono trigger or Persona 4 while secretly wishing I was playing an open world action RPG, I happen to actually like those games for what they are.

At least Atlus hasn't abandoned me yet.

Limited supply is *literally* not a factor, so if you want it you can *always* get it on day 1 without pre-ordering

Then you aren't happy. Quests are possible, but weapons and armor are not. No custom assets, so no 3rd party skins or meshes, and 3rd party skins and meshes comprise more or less all of the weapon and armor mods. Also the quests can't be voiced.

3443d ago 5 agree4 disagreeView comment

Keep defending indefensible modding limitations for... some reason. I'd throw Sony under the bus again because *tons* of mods, including more or less all of the best ones, use custom assets. (Weather, armor, tents, gathering tools, spell effects, ect. )

It does matter because it does matter, and people think it doesn't but the reasoning is stupid.

See how easy it is to make circular arguments? Create an actual assertion and explain why the reasoning is stupid and how the reasoining being stupid invalidates the concept.

I care because I want to be able to represent myself in any game where I'm not playing a set character for plot reasons. I care that I can't do that because EA decided to exc...
