oh look, the regressive left or some far right nut job disagrees with me and thinks people can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality and/or that sex/sexuality is evil and shouldn't be expressed and enjoyed in whatever way the devs/players/everyone else want so long as it isn't harmful to the people involved.
How shocking. Maybe pony up and post a rational argument, or admit that you can't (because there isn't one,) grow the ***k up and let p...
The article is miss-titled. They said Forza Horizon 3. They meant to say Burnout 3.
It's a literal fantasy incapable of harming anyone. No such thing as out of hand.
My problems with games like this are
A) They're usually (but not always) somewhere between mediocre and downright bad games
B) if either of those is true they're super pointless when I can just go watch porn. Often times of those same characters.
It's not even a problem when it involves real people, so long as you remember that we are real...
It's also on the PS3. Like, playing in 1080p would be nice but it's hardly worth the upgrade on it's own.
I'm surprised
That anyone actually paid for an emulator. Seriously, a decent smart phone and a controller (or a cracked PSVita, or a PC) will let you emulate the N64 for free.
You could, you know, not let modded games run online. But sure, lets encrypt the game and lock it down so nobody can do anything to it.
WTF does that even mean? Sony is OK with selling inferior products compared to their direct competitor? Sorry, that's Sony having it's head up it's butt.
Bethesda shouldn't have promised it without knowing it was going to go through, but it's Sony that's blocking it.
@Foxtrot Part of modding is that you take responsibility for the integrity of your game and part of downloading anything is taking responsibility for the integrity of...
I'm glad you live in a solid gold house and wipe your behind with $100 bills sweetheart. Most people really don't have that kind of money, especially just for 1 or 2 exclusives they actually care about.
Stifle the company that's released roughly 10 million versions of the same AC game? Stifle the company that won't any of it's creators be actually creative, so they have to badger them for years to get to make another rayman or Might and Magic?
Somehow, I'm not worried that Ubisoft will be stifled. Nobody at Ubisoft who wants to do anything actually creative gets a decent budget to begin with.
@ApolloTheBoss
To be fair, bull crap. This is the litteral definition of cutting things that would otherwise have been in the game for free out and then selling them back to people. It's been what, 9 days since release? That's somewhat less tasteless than day 1 DLC, but this was already ready when they launched. I don't care how trivial the content they actually did it to is, I care that it happened in the first place. It's actually *more* annoying when it...
No, not great, ****ing stupid. This is the type of thing that would have been free in their other games. It's sad to see such a good company pulling this crap now. I hoped they'd back off after they tried in in P4DAN.
I got as far as the word patriarchy before I stopped reading. That term is almost always a direct indicator that it's 3rd wave feminist nonsense, playing into their little victim cult.
(I'm a half black lesbian, lest someone think I'm a straight white male trying to hold onto my "privelage" or some crap.)
I'd love more female characters, and I do feel that in any game where the protagonist isn't a set character for plot reaso...
It's probably not the same people. I am and always have been quite happy to critisize any and all upscaling. All upscaling is inherently inferior to playing at the original resolution on a display of the same resolution because it removes detail. I'd actually prefer my display to downscale itself and "pretend" to be a lower resolution display by grouping pixels over upscaling when playing sub 4k content. I don't actually know if that's possible, but it would preserve...
Shouldn't have to. In anything even remotely fast paced I'd turn down settings to hit 60 FPS, there is no reason consoles shouldn't have that ability as well. It could even just be 2 modes, maxed out settings at 30 and minimum sacrifices they have to make in order to maintain 60. Tomb Raider is doing it, and so should everyone else.
That isn't memory bandwidth honey. How fast the processor is doesn't matter if the ram isn't fast enough and/or doesn't have a wide enough memory bus to feed it data for it to process.
I don't actually know what the memory bandwidth on either actually is so I can't say wether they're right or not, but raw processing power (wether you measure it in TFLOPS or not) and memory bandwidth are entirely unrelated, and an abundance of one cannot compens...
Yes.....and no. A PC that's got an ~11% more powerful GPU and an ~absurd% more powerful CPU will run you 550 to 600 USD (in the US, obviously) if you buy everything brand new and don't look for sales. Add in the price of PS+ for online over the 3-4 years that is the likely minimum for the PS4 Pro lifespan and you're looking at a 550 to 600 USD machine. PC games can use that same scaling technique if the developers build for it, so you're paying more money for a less capable ma...
Yeah, most people don't have that kind of disposable income. I can play games at 4k, but only older ones or low stress ones play at 60 fps. For new games it's 1080 or 1440 on high/ultra settings because it looks better than (and has twice the framerate of) 4k on medium/low.
No, they aren't. If devs aren't implementing HDR into their games on PC, it's the devs to talk to. My PC and my display both support it, nothing is stopping them.
Similarly, PC is perfectly capable of running circles around any console in terms of graphical abilities, especially with new APIs minimizing overhead so devs can get the most power out of the hardware (albiet with more skill being necessary to do so) so if a game looks about the same on a console wi...
No. The fact that you can't control skin color is specifically what makes racism intolerable. It's perfectly fine to judge people for their choices, because they're CHOICES. If someone decides to form a rape gang targeting women in germany, judging them is not a problem. Such a (hopefully) harsh negative judgement for playing on a console would be ****ing stupid because it;s a simple preference that doesn't hurt anyone, I'd argue a negative judgement for playing on console...
No, no I don't. It's not objectively better because it's a technical achievement or because it's bigger. That's not how things work.
