The batteries in the Xbox one controller last way, way longer than the built-in PS4 controller battery. If you buy the play and charge kit, you can recharge the battery, and when the battery dies you just have to buy a new battery, not a new controller.

Bunch of Sony fanboys still sitting in the comments I see. I own a PS4 pro and an x1x and an x1s for the bedroom. And apart from a few exclusives on PS4, most of my time is spent on x1x. The ps exclusives are great, I absolutely adore god of war, and they have a few more exclusives of lately, but they are 1 and done games for the most part. I'm still playing gears 4 MP years after release, I'm still playing halo 5 MP too. Fh4 is sublime, and ALL multiplatform games are better on x1x. ...

I think that's a successful endeavour. They finished neck and neck globally with the market leader last gen FFS. The only years ps had more aaa exclusive games this gen were 2017/18. Why do you think there were articles saying Sony were geniuses for delaying games leaving next to nothing on their release slate in 2014/15. Why do you think Andrew House said TO INVESTORS that their 2014/15 1st party lineup was going to be "SPARSE"? Why do you think the PS4 was called the indie station for 3 years after launch? Xbox has stated they will never be the weaker powered console again. They have also invested in 1st party more than any company has for decades. I wonder what the naysayers will have left to bitch about.
