Wow.. I'm excited for this game too - but i've played it and i'll tell you now - it is not the best game ever. Its an amazing game, yes - but the best? no.
No game can ever surpass the hype you lot put on these games.

Blu-ray itself is not really needed, but a bigger format than DVD is. There are a good few games on 360 that use multiple disks, already.

Yeah i really wish i went for the PC version instead now, don't get me wrong i'm really enjoying the 360 version - just it would last so much longer with all those mods on pc.
YOU STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT SEQUELS AND START BUYING THE NEW, ORIGINAL FRANCHISES THAT HAVE BEEN RELEASE RECENTLY.
Makes me mad how much people complain about sequels but then you look at the sales of a MGS4 or Gears 2 compared to Mirrors edge or Dead space and you'll see why EA will most likely go back to sequel land this year.

Because the media will still find things to hate about it. And it won't be everyones thing, some people won't like it, some people will - it is like that with every game.
I believe it lived up to the hype since i had the beta, but like i said - there will be people who believe it didn't.
I'm really hyped for God of war 3, but it won't be out this year - recently one of the devs for it said they are aiming for a Q1 2010 release, like the rest of their games.
But yeah, just played through GoW, GoW2 and GoW: CoO and really can't wait for GoW3.

Why are microsoft trying so hard there then? It isn't the most important in terms how big the industry is over there, but it is too big to ignore.
