Yeah, god of war is the best of its genre, everything is perfect in the game.

I really used to think everyone crying about the media being full of fanboys was rubbish, but after some of these reviews - not at them rating it low, but the comments that they have been putting with them has opened my eyes.
No. If apple bring out a device that its main function is gaming then maybe, but aslong as it is an i_PHONE_ then no, it won't.
Even if the build is the same one we had in the beta - it still jumps up and down on any other shooter i've played on a console.

Which is a shame that a PS3 exclusive HAS to do something new, CoD4 didn't do anything new, why was that so loved by critics?
It should be the same with killzone 2, even though i do think it does things new.
It brings a much deeper multiplayer experience to a console shooter which i don't think has been touched by anyone yet.

The online package, apart from the konami ID bs is great. I think it is one of the best online games on the PS3 and one of my most played online games on the PS3.
MGO was a niche in MGS3 and is pretty much the same this time around too though.
dylz, i agree - MGS4 is a game for the fans. Killzone 2 will have a much wider appeal.

The second one is pre-alpha code too, i remember that slightly dusty look on the gun which isn't there anymore, so that part of the game looked even better in the preview builds, review builds and will look amazing in the retail builds.

I've played killzone 2, i think it is the best shooter online on a console (can't say anything abou the SP, not played it) but i don't think it is the best game on the PS3.

I probably would still be playing gears 2 online if it wasn't for the horrible online problems at launch and so would many people.

Don't worry, we'll be playing killzone 2 while you're sat here getting excited because the game isn't doing halo 3 numbers.
The playstation is not about one game, sony will never pimp one or two franchises as their main killer app(s).
I'm not saying that it would be a bad thing if they did, because it worked great for microsoft but i just don't see sony ever pushing one or two games as their main franchises.
Seriously, hyping it as the best shooter ever is just going to harm it. Like the halo killer title the first one was dubbed with killed that one.

Its a shame sony got rid of that old contracted third party advertising team that they used for around 10 years, they made some amazing ad's.
Microsoft really do know how to market a game, shame sony thought they could save money by throwing some monkeys in an office telling them to make something "Unique" what we then get is some random bs that doesn't make any sense at all or advertise the game.
