Yes, that is true IF YOU BUY THE PREBUILT CRAP.
I spent £650 on my parts for my computer and it can run crysis on mostly high settings @ around 35FPS.
Left 4 dead isn't that graphical intensive and you could probably build yourself a PC for around £350 - £450 that could run it at a console level.
All i'm saying is that you saying you would have to pay $1,500 for a computer that could run these games that come out on 360 is a typical consol...
Because they are 3rd party and can easily be multiplatform, infact i'll say it now - Mass effect 2 will be multiplatform, there is no way EA would let microsoft publish the game. I still wouldn't buy it for either system though, 360 or PS3 - i couldn't get into the first one.
Most of the PS3's exclusive games are all first and second party, meaning there is no chance of it coming to another competing system - unless in 10 years time they sell the franchise to some other dev team ...

I have the game on 360 but would go and buy it for PS3 if it came out on it (I'm playing it as i'm typing this, i'm dead :()
Now they do it all in house.. hence the reason their advertisement just went downhill.

The warhawk on the PS3 is the second one, the first warhawk was on the PS1.
Anyone who has played MGS4 on a 7.1 or 5.1 system would know the sound on that game is amazing and easily deserved it over GTA4.
Hence the games huge size, it is full of raw, uncompressed 7.1 audio data.
Mafia 2 may have better looking character models..
But Killzone 2 has a much better lighting engine (one i'd put up with the best of PC games)
Much better particle effects
Much higher res textures
Realistic weather effects
Mafia 2 looks great and i cannot wait for it, but saying it looks better than killzone 2 is silly tbh.

I'm on my 40th hour of playing now iirc.
I own a ps3 but i owned the 360 version (sold it, just couldn't get into it).
I don't get why owning a PS3 would stop me from buying it on the 360, though if i do buy it again, i'll be getting the PC version.

Anyway, MGS4 is obviously my GoTY - infact my GoGY too (Game of the Generation)
Its great microsoft have been able to keep their lead, it is great the amount of support they provide their users with, it is great how much effort they have put into the services, games etc but..
8 million is less than a years worth of sales and the PS3 launched in Japan and NA around a year afterwards (Came out in 07 here in EU) so the PS3 has, despite what everyone says managed to close the gap slightly to be only 8million behind.
Good job though, i'm not digging ...

Did you not hear? All games released from jan 2nd 2009 have to have trophies to go through sonys approval.
And i still don't see what CoD4 did, that was new?
can't be released now till they put trophies in, that is probably why it is taking so long now that we are in 09, even though it should of been out in 08.
Huh? MGS4 sold 3 million in two weeks, it took Gears of war 2 around a month month to get to 3 million:
