Gears.
I ignored the graphics on the main char (main character textures etc cannot be included for comparison as KZ is 1st person!) and looked the environment and was surprised how different it seems now I am looking closer.
- The running 'Wobble/Blur' (tm) effect still makes my brain shout Wow!
- When things ground to a halt for shooting, I was surprised to see alot of flat-line scenery, basic environments and nothing that special.
- The li...
A picture says a thousand words...
(Gears has amazing textures)
A video says a thousand pictures.
(KZII had amazing atmosphere)
The again, Tiger Woods is a better Golfing game than both.
It plays like driving a car.
So does Forza (extremely well) but I understand the 'Rasta-Lines' as conveying forces are very hard in a game (unless you have a friend with a rocking chair).
Good answer Risk,
If you want damage, play a stock car game. Damage is the last thing any serious racing enthusiast wants in real life, so why any different in games?.....but
I will not rule it out on entertainment value though cos it can be good fun (especially in multiplayer) but its nowhere near the top of my list for a good driving simulation.
Thanks, I ran it through windows speech for a laugh. Sounded like Stephen Hawking
Can you make platform game levels with Garrys Mod?
Sorry that everyone is replying to someone else CrazzyMan.
You have to admit though, if there was space in a dictionary to squeeze Sony fans comment as a definition under the word 'Spastic'.....
Asteroids happened 28 years ago.
Super Stardust is based on that, not Geometry Wars (how old are these reviewers?)
Even Super Stardust is the sequel to Stardust (Amiga 1993) by the same company and even one of the same programmers .
He was referring to the gameplay. If a game runs at 25fps it does not play slower, there are just less frames like films compared to real life :)
Then...
The issues of framerate are briefly touched upon by the "We’ve always placed a lot of emphasis on getting UT to run well on lower end hardware" statement.
There ofcourse maybe slowdown issues on the consoles but there will be on alot of peoples PC's too (like mine).
LOL,
Honestly mate, think about it.
You gotta love the way 1.2's compressed music sounds better than uncompressed. :)
It has nothing to do with 'poor' 360's being beaten by PS3's, its just a simple fact.
But since when have the ignorant needed educating when you have your own inaccurate answer to everything...
Why o Why understands above (although I worry about the 10 year part and think Sony would do something befor...
Thanks for ruining Easter for me...
COD 4 looks really good. I love the animation and the tense gameplay but for pure adrenaline-filled mayhem, Killzone leaves it in its wake.
I am not saying which is better, just that they are too different to say one ownz (i hate that word) the other.
LOL Shadow.
Dont you just love it when non-technical people try to talk technical :)
Fact is, Cell is very powerful - no question.
Complex post production effects, physics and A.I are all perfect candidates for the PS3.
The 360 is also an absolute marvel in its own right and will tax the PS3 and the imagination of devs. Its an odd situation, the 360 can effortlessly render fairly realistic environments with rich textures using basic blur and bloom effects to bolster and ...
"Good show me the "POW3R" of the PS3, I am still waiting for a reason to get one"
Your 'Second best haircut' gave you plenty of reasons. All the way through the video you clicked on because you were interested.
Keep on saving up and you can have both (exclamation mark)
The end result may look good with Halo but that was a really crap trailer Bungie. I cringed.
Also talking about finer points like the textures on a 320x240 block of squares is just silly.
2 very different games. Who cares which one is best, Halo will sell big time and Killzone will sell PS3's - hooray.
and when it comes out on the Wii in a year, it will be better than both the PS3 and 360?
Thats a good point.
The PS2 is still selling well but the PS3 would need more than a upgradable Hard Drive to last 10 years.
For some reason the guy in the picture has one of those faces you want to punch too :)
I don't think you will ever understand Sony Fan :(
