I have buried my HDDVD in the garden so that future generations can enjoy it after meteors hit the Earth and wipe out life.
This new civilization (after leaving the trees again) can use it after Electricity and flat-screen HDTV's have been rediscovered again.
I have left a warning note next to the player warning them "not to invent Blockbuster Video"
HD Fury strips HDCP which your $25 converter will not do.
I am sure the dash views will be very nice (after all they have 50gb to fill if they need it so why not?) but its hardly the 'main feature' of this game. This was simply a site with an exclusive that bigged itself up and padded out the detail.
Lets face it, right now in Japan, the GT team are prob playing Forza 2 to death and are deciding where to go with GT as a response (I would if I were in their position and so would you)
A few years ago when Microsoft neede...
I have been looking foward to this and in modern terms its not really that next gen of course...
In old-school terms however, 10,000 active objects on screen with physics and collisions and over 75,000 particles simulated and drawn @60fps, it would have at least sounded impressive :)
You didn't miss much....
Now see the rest of the images they didn't want you to see...

Lets hope its a new demo soon. Looks good.
I still do not personally believe this will deliver what we all want just yet. It is a good start and is being designed with a PS3 way of thinking rather than a PC.
Building blocks is what it's all about at the moment. The good stuff will take a lot longer still but we can wait.
Afterall lets face it, the vast majority of people still have PS2's out there ffs.
(and good ole Forza 2 for me at the mo)
Code that was engineered for the 360 platform was juggled on the PS3 until a compromise was found between framerate and graphic quality.
Simple as that. Does Mart think the whole thing was rewritten from the ground up for the PS3?
A Port is simply copying and translating already existing code and as with any translation, its never as optimal as the original source.
I think they did well considering the vastly different architectures
of both...
I think if Sony had something that big, they would wait till E3.
My bet is that it is a twisted sarcastic (read childish) jibe.
Sony will infact announce a simple PSN game and the person who did this gets a 'kick' from his new found status in pulling the 'ultimate' 360 fans insult toward PS3 owners.
Whatever it is, I hope above all that its fun. I don't really care if the 360 can do it or not as there is no point in debating such silly things.
So right Why O Why.
So he is saying that rather than release a cheap Blu-Ray player onto the market, Sony decide to make one with a hugely powerful processor, pretty decent graphics chipset and a motion sensing controller for playing movies on, losing loads of money with each sale and simply throwing away the massively lucrative games market brand leader status they have enjoyed for two generations?
Microsoft played the jumping-in card that Sony played last time ...
It does work, it is really good fun and if you get banned for doing it, me and Edwin1989 will be the 1st to let you know :(
I like that Elephant sound it makes when you turn it around while on.
It is worth the scratches.
-------------------------
The PS3 will be a tough nut to crack to extract the performance it sits on because its not really that cut out for traditional programming styles and thought (which is a bit silly for a games console really).
Its must be a real headache in terms of being able to showcase its advantages especially when dealing with general purpose code suited to multi platform.
For any Doubters of a scale of the Cells performance potential, it does not take long to google some b...
Thats only true if you prefer slicing people to shooting them :)
OMG!
So much wasted time from everyone above and so much crap from either "side"
Play Games not penis comparisons.
When Microsoft announced at E3 about "making it in Japan", I was more inclined to laugh than pay attention but after hearing the outline, I thought Mr Gates deserved a (very small) pat on the back, at the least for acknowleging that a stratagy was indeed required.
I have kept an eye on the situation and every step that has been made has been a step in the right direction.
with the introduction and announcement of several key Japanese figures and studios int...
So far so good on my 360 and PS3 but of course I do worry about failures and would much rather ignore any stats on failure rates really :)
Both get hot enough to warm the house on a cold day and, considering I am a fan of content over visuals (same with films), both get some heavy use. Its so cold in the U.K and that may help I suppose...
Definition of a fanboy is someone who calls someone a fanboy.
You only have to look at the silly childish sarcastic comments to understand where the "boy" bit comes from.
It has no genre or side but it sure consumes alot of peoples lives, people who don't seem to spend enough time with their own interests.
This, I assume, involves actually playing games on consoles at some point in small intervals between the farting their mouths off at ...
Do you hate The Simpsons, Southpark and Family Guy for the same reason?
