The analyst only had to watch the GDC reveal (and the response it got) on this and he, like every other game related commentator and professional, came to this same conclusion. Its amazing.
Most people play with guns as kids so its only natural for adults to get something that requires a bit more creativity and imagination.
I think PGR4 looks great. I just can't understand why they went for 30FPS during gameplay.
Guess who got a low score and got really angry then kept doing it until he got them all right?
I think we can all click on the right answer to that one :)
^Same here, the familiar GT pics with the garage background and the tiled streets gave it away.
I got 10 but if the cars had been cut out or new exclusive screens had been used that number would have been way lower. The track can give it away a bit but I would rather use track polygons on the cars because its a game about cars (!).
This is by no means an accusation,
When you say "the physics just suck" in relation to GT, what data is your summarization based on?
Have you driven the real cars on the real tracks to compare and come to this conclusion or is it based on your 'perceived characteristics' on how they should handle and feel?
Baring in mind that in real life, fear is the biggest factor to hamper laptime comparisons with game lap times. The fact that many prof...
Carmageddon and better still, Carmageddon 2 still stand as my all time favorites. So much humor and an infinite amount of things to do and try besides just racing. Even if they just updated things and added maps and cars from the old game and released again, I would buy.
Why Pinball Mode has remained dead in games for so long is a mystery to me :)

I like the idea of that too.
I am using an HD projector running a 102" picture. Friends complain of feeling sick on racing games :)
I would recommend one to any that have doubts.
I would use the word acceptable instead.
Just as high resolution, low compression video outperforms the opposite, audio has the same perceivable impact. Lossy, low resolution digital representations of rich, uncompressed analogue sound has an impact in a multitude of noticeable and describable ways.
A good working set of human ears coupled with a decent Hi-fi equipment quite happily expose these noticeable differences. Complex pieces especially sound messy, lack...
Lol, we must have different 360's Jeremy!
There are loads of really bad games on arcade, many of which only justify the 'HD' tag they are given by the wallpaper behind the game.
There are thankfully some good ones too on both systems and Sony's early track record is very encouraging in this regard.
100GB is good enough for 1 Hour of uncompressed 625 line PAL video. Does not sound alot now does it?
If you think that is bad, you should try 1080p uncompressed which is 700GB per hour. Ouch!
It has to be said though that the inperfections of compressed video become less or more apparent depending on your screen size and your viewing distance of course and the hardware to sustain those sorts of data rates is far from compact or cheap. I was just simply stating how...
Thing they forget to tell you is that those little organic pixels are alive and won't even think about glowing for you unless you feed them through a hole in the top of the TV like fish.
Maybe it sounds about the right sort of time for this to happen.
A consumer could be sat on the fence thinking PS3 or 360? They hear about how amazing Halo3 is and think "tempting but what about MGS and FFXiii?" and then as if by magic a story comes out saying "don't worry about those mate, MS pretty much have them covered too, join the revolution and buy a 360!"
If not, its timimg is astounding.
I can understand your jealousy Wii60. It does look amazing. Buy a PS3 too, I did. Get all three and play games not consoles.
A time penalty is all thats needed in my opinion because if I am in a 50 lap race and on lap 5 my car gets hit and keeps understeering and slows down as a result, I am going to quit and start again rather than limp for 45 laps.
or
Why not go the whole hog and not just damage the car model but if you hit something hard enough it kills your character, wipes your savegames and bans your PSN account for 6 months pending an investigation into the accident. Only then can ...
At last, a review that makes sense.
A burger costs more than this game and even with relish, onions and a fresh bap, it's still not as good for the money.
If FFXIII had gone multi platform in the first place, would we have seen Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata etc for the 360?
Sony exclusives can be just as good news for 360 owners (with the titles it creates) as it is for PS3 and visa versa.
Multi platform is good for developers but I am not a developer, I am a consumer who plays games. Let Microsoft and Sony battle for my attention because its the battle that makes the quality and variety we see today.
The game is out! Halo 3 is here! PS3 is dead!
...so, why are you even here posting on a PS3 news article when you clearly have no reason to be interested in it given the circumstances and your avatar. I feel sorry for you for some reason.
