It is kinda funny that the whole community waits for one guy to tell them what resolution a game is running at.
What does it say if it's that hard to spot!
At last some mention of the Scene in all this. From the opening moments it is very familiar. Anyone that likes this and has a fairly heathy PC should get some goodness from www.scene.org.
Those that don't want to navigate the page, try downloading this:-

Make sure you watch it till the end :)
If these backgrounds are from multi-player maps, they are pretty good looking considering 59 players could be on-screen at the same time all firing stuff, explosions etc..
Given the fact that the PS3 is so damn tricky to get advanced performance, its software development, optimization and evolution are quite interesting to watch. It's a seemingly underdog console with an uptapped power that is difficult and challenging to implement but may have the potential to exceed expectations...
All that from 3 pics! Very impressive.
They need to send a copy of this engine out to all the devs who use the seemingly broken Unreal engine on the PS3.
It's the generation thing. Older generations never grew up on games but there are a lot of 30 something's that have been there since the start and have no intention of giving up.
When you are a kid, you think you will never grow out of toys. You do but only cos you get new, better ones:- Real cars, Beer and Women.
Ahhh, something different.
We all know about these microphones and the colours from internet searches, but it's the mysterious 'other use' that has me (and no doubt everyone else) guessing...

I was wondering how they would deal with twats in this game... Guess we know now.
You are right, Halo is 15 and GTA is 18 (in the U.K). I would also imagine that the lack of getting blowjobs from Hookers and running over old ladies in Halo3 may have helped parents under pressure to buy the game for younger children than 15 too.
If it turns out to be a good black and white film then yes.
I like Journey too. It's really atmospheric driving to it at night like a life soundtrack feeling.
I just got it (midnight release in uk) and looking at the PS3 version in a vacuum, its really impressive. Regardless of anything you hear, read, zoomed in pictures and videos or anything else, you will not be disappointed in this game from a technical standpoint. I followed the advice of the reviews and got the version that had (for me) the largest friend base. Forget all the fanboy crap and enjoy the game because whatever comes out of this in terms of details between versions, non of it c...
Ok then ;)
This is only going to get worse :( Beyond3d have pixel counted and.... You have to go and see http://forum.beyond3d.com/s...
I still can't decide which one to get myself...
All it would take is a few retailers to believe this and start selling it and before you know it, landslide.
I am still waiting for Ped Rampage to return....
I wanna watch Trailer Park Boys all over again.
I thought the 'saving on polys through clever artists' comment was really sound. They have obviously crafted this game on a frame-by-frame nature (much like the last) to look at it's very best all the time with no rock untextured (so to speak).
It is that level of care and attention to detail that I hope goes into polishing off every last aspect and angle on the already excellent looking Killzone2 on PS3.
Nice to know that there are devs like this out there.
