Definitely hope so. That's less than the total number of characters in Mario Kart 7 (about fourteen I think). So it would be pretty lousy to have less playable characters than a handheld game. Let's hope this announcement does not coincide with "total" number of playable characters.
Eh. I've been ignoring it as of late. I don't care for EA's half-assed attempts on Wii U. Not gonna bother with their games anyway unless it's a franchise that genuinely interests me; Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars Battlefront come to mind, but we'll see what happens.
At this point the only EA game I would get for Wii U is Mass Effect Trilogy. I actively avoided Mass Effect 3 because of EA's horrid handling of that game and the trilogy.
As someone who has played just about every game in the series, I can tell you the story has gotten pretty terrible at times. Days and Birth By Sleep were both stupidly written, and Coded was just plain garbage. The series seems rekindled with Dream Drop, and III looks pretty solid.
I say let's be optimistic. We've made it this far. And damn it all, I want a conclusion!
>You need to buy a Vita first. That's over $700 when bought together.
>No it doesn't. That's an outright fabrication.
>Strawman argument. No one plays online because no one has put out any online games worth playing on Wii U.
>Sony has some good exclusives, butMicrosoft only has Halo and I don't many people who care much for Gears anymore.
Next.
@Doctoglethorpe
Yeah, because multimedia is SO essential to gaming. That's why the Xbox One reveal was such a roaring success, right?
"There's no way the technology in this thing is that expensive."
Right. I'm sure you know more about that than Nintendo. /s
@Donnieboi
That's not a bad strategy at all! Bummer that you can't get the black model, but hey, you can go for worse lol (t...
Only twelve playable characters? Kind of disappointing, but hey I'll take twelve player multiplayer online any day.
$250 maybe for the 8GB model if they continue it. I can't imagine the 32GB model being sold for anything less than $300 right now.
Look on the bright side, PS4 should have a lot of content from the get-go, so it will definitely hold you over until you can save up for a Wii U later on.
EDIT: Assuming of course if you would still want one of by then. :p
Same with the Wii U, a price cute would have been great for a lot of people. Vita needs more exclusive games like Tearaway. I really hope Sony doesn't focus too much on cross-platform games. Vita needs its own awesome library unshared with the PS4.
I'd definitely recommend it. It's free to go and you get free stuff for going. :p
Yeah, it's a shame they're not, but in all honesty they probably should focus on making people KNOW about this damn console first. A price cut isn't going to help a console without a lot of games (for the moment) that no one knows about.
From the arguments I'm receiving, it seems like having a modern era Zelda would only be for aesthetics. What's the point of having a modern setting if you expect to continue using swords, shields and magic? That doesn't make much sense to me.
Keeping it subtle, the way Spirit Tracks brought in steam technology for instance, is the way to go, I think. Zelda's medieval fantasy setting is part of what gives the series its imaginative charm.
You can always get a Wii U the following year when there is some more content I suppose. The way I see it, Nintendo has no purpose dropping the price of the console at this point in time and here's why; Wii U has no notoriety. With a price cut, not only would they potentially be taking a loss (well, a much bigger one) but what little sales they are making off of Wii U will be even less effective financially.
Not that I agree with this move, mind you. I was hoping they wou...
Considering sword/shield combat is kind of outdated in our modern era, no it wouldn't.
Except for the part that a new Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong are releasing this year alongside Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101?
I already have a Wii U, so a PS4 in due time.
You didn't think Wii U could handle Crysis 3 either.
"No, said Morel and Chevallier. The developer deliberately wanted Rayman Legends set to local multiplayer only. Because how else can you really have that borderline sadistic fun of slapping your friends' characters around in levels, between levels, and during soccer unless you're actually sitting next to them in real life? Where you can ALSO slap them."
That really freaking does it. I am so sick of this stupid backwards mentality from both Ubisoft AND Ninten...
Specs are better, so it's not surprising.
Probably gonna do a blog about it some point. Thanks for reminding me to do that! :p
Works for me. Those are the only platforms deserving of any support (between the big three I mean).
With all the restrictions and lack of real benefits (putting F2P games behind a paywall is utter crap), I'm surprised no one is questioning why Xbox One owners still need to pay $60 a year for online.
