While I would prefer a Tales Of character like Lloyd Irving, Pac-Man would be a fantastic fit for the series.
No it isn't. They are the same game. The 3DS has 3D and the Vita version has sharper visuals. They're the same experience.
Tearaway is great, but I'm not much of a Killzone fan. Plus most fans of the series are anticipating the newer one on PS4. It's likely you can play that on Vita, but you need the PS4 for it first.
The Vita is hardly doomed. It's just that Sony is handling it improperly.
The problem with your list of software is hardly any of it is exclusive to the Vita. Batman? It's on 3DS. The Walking Dead? It's also on PS3.
Vita HAS games; good ones at that. But like the Wii U it needs strong titles that are unique to the system. It can't coincide with the PS3/PS4 if its entire library is practically the same as the its home console brethren.
Cross-platform is a great thing, but if it's the Vita's main feature in front ...
Wouldn't be surprising. A lot of big name devs are supporting it.
Miyamoto also made Zelda and had a hand in the development of classics like Star Fox 64 and Metroid Prime. Just throwing that out there.
Uh... they have Game & Wario, Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker, Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong all this year. What do you mean the first party stuff is "barely getting there"?
Actually it does matter. It begs the question why the hell Microsoft could not be bothered to market their new console on the actual hardware that people are friggin' paying for!
@komp
At this point nothing along those lines would surprise me.
They've been doing DLC (and doing it much better than EA or Crapcom) since New Super Mario Bros. 2, ding-dong.
The people saying it will just want a Wii U for less than what it's currently set at. (That and LOL_WUT is an obsessive fink and Mika has always been an insufferable troll).
The Wii U is an unknown console. It has no notoriety among anyone but those who look at these stories on the internet. Moms don't seem to get that it's a new console and Nintendo is NOT marketing the console to get it more attention with kids and families.
A price drop will on...
I remember him tweeting about this a week or two ago. More games the better, I say.
"Cartoony Realistic"?
Well whatever. As long as it has a unique art style, I'm cool with it.
None of Sony's HD collections did anything other than adding trophies and a higher resolution. The games are pretty much exactly the same. Nintendo's remasters have taken a different approach; it's a single game but it is given a complete visual overhaul to look brand new and in certain cases has the controls tweaked/fixed and some new content is added. Halo Anniversary Edition also followed this approach.
I can imagine someone calling this E3 disappointing, if only because the only really new, unknown game announcement was Donkey Kong, which shouldn't have warranted so much mystery to begin with (that and the new 3D Mario is more of a placeholder game than a full innovative Mario experience like Sunshine or Galaxy).
There were some damn good upsides to the conference. Bayonetta looked great, Mario Kart 8 looks absolutely beautiful, and need I say more than Mega Man in Smas...
You could argue the Xbox One has already lost to the Wii U with the way things are going. The reputation of this console is so horrid that I can't see it selling farther than general fans of the brand, unlike the previous generation.
Microsoft needs to seriously reevaluate their strategy. They have lots of games, sure. But Sony has most of the same games and more, not to mention that Microsoft's number of quality exclusives pales in comparison to both Nintendo and Son...
@_LarZen_
At that point, I reckon you haven't really enjoyed Nintendo games for a while, so it's probably for the best.
@Knushwood Butt
Are you daft? Pikmin, Wonderful 101, Zelda HD, Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong ALL come out THIS year.
So in other words, it's dead. Activision said the same thing about Guitar Hero. This is a company known for killing off quality franchises, among other stupid things.
Nothin' to see here folks.
"collecting dust"
Right before games are supposed to come out for it? Genius move.
Well, it was kind of obvious. I don't think anyone thought Nintendo and their games would have become so big back during the NES era.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I mean I don't think the amount of depth and backstory we see in Zelda games was intended back in the day.
Considering those missing dungeons are somewhere in more recent Zelda games I've already played, that's fine with me.
...No.
Blu-Ray is hardly the standard. DVDs are still widely sold, most Blu-ray movies are bundled with DVDs and presently Netflix and Hulu are on the rise as primary methods to watch movies and TV.
Furthermore the Cell processor was a massive detriment to the PS3 as developers could not figure out the hardware, leading many multiplats to actually be made on the 360 and ported over (sometimes shoddily) to the PS3.
Kinect also may be hated amo...
