Nintendo already seems to be going that route with letting the developer of Pure Chess make their multiplayer cross-platform. It would not surprise me at all if Sony and Microsoft are thinking of doing the same thing.
Tell that to the hateful who just wants less competition for their favorite brand or the hopeful who wants to live long enough to see Nintendo games on their favorite brand's console.

I would say it was a combination. A Zelda game + a price cut + a bundle of the two is probably what led to what I already predicted would be a modest boost.
I'd say so. Slowing down the gameplay just a little from previous games and having an emphasis on precision platforming will go a long way with this one.

Future proof? When a console is released the hardware never changes for that particular model. Unless both consoles can be upgraded, I don't see how either can be considered future proof.

Everyone based their opinion of the Wii U's overall capabilities based on its launch lineup, but suddenly we're told to wait for PS4/Xbox One. Don't give me this "it SHOULD have blablahblah" BS when everyone was saying that at the Wii U's launch and ever since.

Nice reverse damage control. Bayonetta has detailed graphics and a ton of action happening on two screens in very large environments, all the while running in 1080p 60FPS. You're an idiot if you seriously think the 360/PS3 can do the same thing.
