Correction, you bought the game when it was newer. This is a glorified GOTY edition being sold for $20 less than on Wii U. It's the exact same product.

Then maybe people should stop complaining and warring against each other over resolutions like everyone in this community was right up until someone suggested Wii U had more 1080p/60FPS titles than Xbox One and PS4.

They're not lazy, they are just weird. I'd agree if none of their upcoming games were online, but that isn't the case at all. They have a number of online Wii U games and the library of online games on 3DS keeps growing. So to say they are "lazy" or "cutting costs" is just absurd.
Weird and probably out of touch... those are criticisms I can understand.
In all fairness, Nintendo HAS online Wii U games coming out both sooner and later (Wii Sports HD, Mario Kart 8, etc.). Just not this one. Which really bothers me because it's a multiplayer-centric game.
It's like, the ONE time Nintendo, the ONE time you SHOULD have given online some damn thought.

Actually it's $10 for any individual game or $2 for a full day rental of all of them. Knowing Nintendo they'll probably add the Resort games to it as well at some point, effectively making the full "owned" package over $150 if so.

It says in the post that the remakes would be used to fill in the gaps between major releases. So I don't see what the problem is.
