Nintendo's apprehensive and prone to tradition, but contrary to what most people believe, they are forward thinkers when they need to be. Plus I think even they realize that they can't be the only ones making content for their hardware.

Man, you are so delusional it's laughable. The day specs dictate a console's overall quality is the day I chuck my 3DS and Wii. Games define a console's quality, and the good stuff isn't even out for Wii U yet as far as I'm concerned.
Is that a factual statement too? Because it seems pretty subjective to me. Nintendo's handling of the console and the quality of the console itself are two completely different things and you're mixing up the two.
Further proving Nintendo and Sony are far more developer friendly than Microsoft.

That's completely subjective and your opinion. I think the Wii U is a quality console with some quality games. It isn't perfect but it certainly isn't as bad as a solid majority of the users who comment on this site would try to have me believe.

Because he's the man who made the Wii, DS and 3DS huge successes? One poorly selling console is not enough to ruin his resume. Not by a long shot. This man may have lost Nintendo some millions, but he has made Nintendo billions. THAT'S why he is still working at that company.
I love the Wii U and I think it's capable of some great things in terms of Nintendo software, but I have to agree. Nintendo is making a lot of strange choices that are preventing it from catching the public's attention the way I feel it should have and would have a year ago if handled differently.

Well, yes and no to that. Look at some games like Wii Party U; family games like that are very much catered to the kind of people who would play a board game. You need everyone together in the room. I specifically cite the "twister" game where you take turns pressing a certain button with a certain finger.

Is your goal simply to downplay any amount of positivity a Nintendo fan may still feel about the Wii U? Because that's the vibe I keep getting from you.
Also, sales numbers fluctuate and the Wii U numbers have seen small spikes as a result of some of the bigger releases this year, none of which were even meant to be huge blockbusters contrary to what you've said about Nintendo's fans' and their hopes.
