I was gonna say... Activision was willing to put versions of the game with bad graphics on the Wii... why wouldn't they port their game to a system that can handle it on pretty much the same level?
It's freaking Call of Duty! It's going to make a ton of money no matter what they do with it.
It just seemed so half-assed to me. Yeah, Subspace had co-op multiplayer, but it was the only co-op mode in the game WITHOUT online playability. Couple this with platformer level design that would make Miyamoto cringe and the bland environments with little to no relevance to the roste, you have for a fairly unfulfilling experience.
Also the maze part where you basically retread everything AGAIN was boring as hell.

Subspace was a good idea on paper but was ultimately boring and uninspired. Not to mention the narrative (or lack thereof) was very confusing.
I hope they bring back the Adventure mode from Melee.

I would imagine any single player DLC added would have to be prior to the ending. Naughty Dog seemed pretty adamant about the ending they chose (glad for it, honestly).

Honestly, I would like to see a DLC where you are Ellie helping Joel or perhaps another older NPC character, sort of like the Winter chapter in the main game.

Well without any other big games I suppose it was bound to happen. It was as I expected; Pikmin 3 gave the console a mild boost. Nintendo needs to provide some more momentum. Since there will be at least one game each month, hopefully Nintendo will be smart enough to generate some flow of excitement and keep that momentum consistent.

That was you a week ago pal. You were right, Wii U sales did fall after but not nearly as quickly as you anticipated. Next time I hope your crystal ball has a new pair of batteries. You may say you don't hate Wii U, but you definitely love predicting excessively (and in some respects unrealistically) low sales forecasts for it.

The PS3 is cheaper than the Wii U, by about $50-$100 whether or not you get a bundle. Yeah, the Wii U is newer hardware but newer hardware has rather consistently been outsold by cheaper hardware (depending on the overall relevance). The DS and PS2 were outselling their successors for some time, for example.
Also the economy was in a different state when the PS3 was released. Since then the yen has weakened and the overall market has lost its stability.

Developers have been praising Nintendo for the same reason. A number of articles from a variety of devs have talked about this. I don't know too much about the entire process, only that Nintendo and Sony's stances on indie game development (though seemingly Sony a little bit more so) are a lot better than both Xbox Live Arcade and Steam Greenlight in its current form.

Yeah, a move like this from Nintendo sucks but we don't know anything about why. Maybe it is some stupid legal issue. Heaven forbid somebody tries to look at this objectively and not just automatically assume Nintendo has it out for indie devs in their own damn country.

My point was that games have had some very well told stories while there are books out there that tell very bad stories, increasing the validity of the blog post. I wasn't necessarily trying to compare the plots themselves so much as their overall quality.
Indeed. Compare and contrast: Twlight vs. The Last of Us. Games can and have had better stories than certain books in literature. I'd argue there are games that have surpassed films as well.
