I bought Darksiders for the PS3 expecting it to be a "mature" Zelda game. It felt more to me like the God of War trilogy, but with more cutscenes (and personally I like the story a little more).

I think I'm about a third of the way through the game and I'm looking forward to its sequel, but for the life of me I can't see why people view this as "Zelda-esque." I don't know; perhaps I'm just crazy?

"devs dont want to bring their games until there is a user base for their games"

A sad truth, to be honest. It's what's currently plaguing the Vita. $250-$300 + whatever price for your memory card to buy games you probably already own on the PS3 aaaaaannnnnd Gravity Rush. That's it. The Vita needs more unique experiences yet its largest announcements at E3 are a Black Ops 2 spinoff and a port of Playstation Smash Bros.

3DS had the same i...

EA probably has a hold of the final build already. They're already having Bioware port Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U, remember?

Somehow I don't think your bubbles are undeserved...

The fact that you even got disagrees shows how ignorant N4G users can be.

-Xenoblade
-Last Story
-Pandora's Story
-Dillon's Rolling Western
-Sakura Samurai

All of which came out/are coming out this year FYI.

So you call Pikmin, P-100, ZombiU, Batman, Aliens, Tekken, Call of Duty, Darksiders 2, Mass Effect 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, Rayman and Assassin's Creed III a "little section in the corner?" That vastly outweighs the casual games that Nintendo showcased at E3.

I'm no fan of casual games either, but those games are part of the industry's business model. Look at Microsoft's Kinect and Sony's storybook gizmo.

No, the Pro controller is only for anyone who really wants it and here's why; the Wii U gamepad (the thing that actually comes in the package) IS the Pro controller but with more inputs (the screen, for example). Two sticks, four face buttons, L/R/1/2 and a D-pad, not to mention motion control and a touch screen.

You could just as easily play any core game on that as well as a Pro controller. The latter is simply there so you can use something more ergonomic to your plays...

That's actually a very good way of looking at the big picture. Bubble up for you sir.

Oy. Let the hate train roll on I guess?

You know, just because the media tends to view core gamers as angry, hateful and immature whiners doesn't mean we have to act like it.

The man is an analyst who is simply doing his job. There's hardly a reason to use any sort of asinine wording in your comment.

I see why he made his prediction; the problem is he completely forgot about Activision's support of the Wii. Only in that context did his prediction make no sense. If Activision had not supported the Wii at all (particularly with the CoD franchise) then Pachter's comments would have made more sense.

Well, congrats. You linked me a completely speculative article which doesn't list anything at all suggesting that the game will ever actually be ported.

The other issue is if it ever even does, it will require you to buy more than one device to even play it (whether it be SmartGlass for 360 owners or a Vita for PS3 owners).

Technically the quote is out of context. He's basically saying that he takes things that he sees in the industry, makes an educated guess and winds up being totally wrong despite thinking he's on the dime.

There's no guarantee it will be ported either. Matter of fact if the Wii U version doesn't at least moderately well, I wouldn't count on it.

I want to believe that, but it's hard to do so when you go onto various websites that posted falsehoods like, "Rumor: Wii U Weaker than Current Gen Consoles?" and everyone seems to take it at face value. I guess that makes me overly sensitive but I find it frustrating that people will take usually false or remedial details about the Wii U (or any other console they tend to hate) and exaggerate it.

What's there to counter in your comment exactly? You're making a bunch of baseless accusations about technology that is only rumored to even exist.

And you have the writing comprehension of a twelve year old. So I don't have many reasons to take you all that seriously. Boo hoo I guess.

The only benefit I know of is getting 100 Club Nintendo points, which I'm interested in. That and I want to keep the game in my 3DS at all times.

How you have four bubbles is beyond me.

@Hisiru

It would have been better if you had used one of your bubbles to provide a link to the article where you read about it being a tech limitation and not a hardware limitation.

Wii = Current Gen.

Wii U = Next Gen.

While I make the point that power has nothing to do with it, let's lay off the technical specifications of the Wii U until we, you know, know what GPU and CPU are actually inside of it?

Aside from those of us who are intelligent enough to remember that the CPU is confirmed to be a Power7 based multicore processor. Not that anyone listens to that.
