@Lucretia
What sort of crazy expectations do you have?
In my experience, fanboys and trolls are extremely persistent. A few weeks back, people here were insisting that Wii U could not run Unreal Engine 4.
The moment Epic Games said it was scalable for Wii U, people started saying things like "Oh the ports won't be as good" or "They also said the iPad can run it, who cares?"
People love to hate things. The Wii U's an excellent example of it and it hasn't even come out yet.
@cuddlemonkey
Oh come on. Don't be ridiculous. The libraries of both the PS3 and 360 consist of maybe a small fraction of 1080p games. Nearly all the rest of the games for them are upscaled from 720p.
@tiffac008
Oh right. I forgot about that. So in other words, the only way for you to have access to every region, you have to spend money and buy more than one of those overpriced memory cards. Duly noted.
"We even got Wii Sports for free with a Wii purchase in America, so I just find it odd Nintendo Land isn't included with Wii U."
Because this article was a confirmation, right? Besides, it was already confirmed that the Wii U would have built in software from the get-go.
@charisarsenalsavart
Playstation Vita accounts were region locked and you could only have one account per Vita device. Ergo, it's region locked.
The markets are completely different. What hardware manufacturers, publishers and developers need to do is find a way to reduce the cost of development and it can remain profitable.
The whole reason the phone market is so successful is because damn near everyone has a cell phone, many of which are smart. That means they play games. Not everyone on the other hand, owns every video game console.
It's pretty much like trying to go back about sixty years and ...
The same reason any shovelware Kinect/Wii game was a bestseller. Sad truth, but this market is currently being driven toward core AND casual gamers. :/
I know some of the people who are familiar with my comments are going to call me out on it, but I'd say Wii U. Not because of Nintendo, mind you, but because I am already used to the name "Wii" and don't really see how adding a U at the end makes it the worst name since NeoGeo.
They were scary... back when I was a kid. Hell, I was still pretty young when Resident Evil 4 came out so I even found that game scary. Now that I'm older, going back to those games makes me wonder what I was afraid of in them.
It doesn't help that horror games tend to be niche to the average gamer. For example, Silent Hill and the older Resident Evil games restricted some level of control from your chatacter. When you give the player more control, the experience is f...
I'm aware of that lol. I was taking a jab at Other M which was written/produced/directed by Sakamoto. Ironically he's been a regular on the franchise yet somehow royally fucked up that game's story and crippled its gameplay mechanics.
I should note, I don't blame Team Ninja for it. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing them work on another Nintendo game.
Sony didn't make any money off the PS3 until much, much later when the tech became cheaper and more efficient. Back then, they were losing close to $400 on each one made because they were initially so expensive.
Their money was made from software sales, period.
I was gonna say... Wii had shovelware, we all know that. But unlike Kinect it actually had at least a few dozen core games to play.
I'll wait for a fanboy to accuse me of lying before I start listing them off.
I can't speak for Muffins but I can say yes to your questions for myself. That said, we only get a Kirby Air Ride, F-Zero or Star Fox only so often. Franchises like those I'd love to see in HD.
A writer/director/producer that isn't Sakamoto?

It's not our responsibility as a species to ignore our differences, it's to embrace them.
A person is just as much capable of being a good person (or bad) regardless of minority, including sexual orientation. The day we forget about these differences is the day we forget the struggle where people of different minorities who had to fight for their right to be treated as equals.
This convention is progress in my opinion. Thir...
1. Shantae
2. Bowser Jr./Shadow Mario
3. One of the six hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters
4. Gray Fox
5. Shulk (from Xenoblade)
And for argument's sake, bring back Mewtwo and add in Marina from Mischief Makers as a third party character.
The last two reasons I don't really agree with. There are core games on this platform. Yes, a few of them are older ports, but some of them are brand new, like Assassin's Creed III, Black Ops II and Darksiders II.
As for the online news, just because we know very little about it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. It has just as much of a chance to be good as it could be bad. We simply don't know yet.
@sjaakiejj
Good. You listed a single point of view from one individual. Now how about finding an interview from one of the many African people who actually embrace Black History Month?
When every developer understands new hardware the way these guys seem to right from the get-go, is the day I'll agree with your point.
