What was so bad about it exactly? It was a moderately decent shooter with some okay gags and stiff controls with some archaic design. I'm not saying it was a GREAT game. In fact it was the farthest thing from perfect. I'm just saying I don't see where all the hate came from. The game was decent at best and forgettable at worst. It wasn't worth half the stink people made about it.

Are you serious? The majority of the reviews for ZombiU are mixed to positive. It has a 77 on Metacritic with an even higher user score.

I stand by that Metroid Other M was a fairly terrible experience. It has adequate at best gameplay combined with an egregiously bad story and forgettable characters.
The cutscenes would not be as large an issue if they had at least provided the option to skip them. The last thing I needed in a Metroid game is being forced to see Samus being an emotional wreck so long into her career. If the game had been a prequel, more than half of what was wrong with the story would have be...

I absolutely agree. Nintendo acquiring Platinum Games would be a fantastic way to reel in more mature experiences for their platforms. Platinum can do more new IPs (like the Wonderful 101) and other such projects and Nintendo can occasionally hand them, say, a new Star Fox or F-Zero idea (speaking of which, what the hell IS Retro Studios doing with either of these franchises???).

Oh well. Either way I hope it isn't like the others and actually does offer a better experience. Not just because it's on the Wii U but because it can also hold a bar of quality for a potential update to the other versions.
That's a pretty silly reason not to experience something. How do you know you won't enjoy something just because the demographic is different?
I love Disney/Pixar movies (generally) and those are made for families and children, not necessarily for men of my age. Doesn't mean I don't still love the animation and stories though.

I'd disagree there. The Miiverse integration works a lot better than, say, PS Home did. The web browser is the best of its kind and the actual game servers actually run pretty well. All the Wii U is lacking right now is proper in-game voice chat/party chat, and even that won't be as large an issue once some wireless headsets come out.
And it's called "Nintendo Network." It's really not that hard to remember.

Anyway, I've said this before; the Wii U has sold faster than its competition while being around the same price as a 360 in a worse economy. A supposedly slow month does not justify calling it a flop/failure/etc. On top of all of this, the 3DS started out fairly slowly but picked up speed a year or so later. So did the PS3. Give this platform the time it deserves rather than writing it off so quickly...
For starters, the Wii U version is almost done. It's always been slated for a launch window release. So at that point they may as well release it and see what money they can make from it if any.
For another it was developed by Demiurge who already did an adequate PC port of Mass Effect 3. If anyone's capable of making a game work on a different platform, it's those guys.

I'd have to agree. I understand having slightly inconsistent performance between versions, but for some versions to be broken enough for people to outright hate the game and for one version to be praiseworthy makes no sense.
