Sorry - now that I thought about it further, pretty much any side character in God Of War is more memorable and realized than the hunchback. But he still is well-realized nonetheless :)
Well, the hunchback that rides with Max through most of the game is memorable (although, I can't recall his name lol). He's actually one of the more enjoyable and well-realized side characters that I can think of this gen.
I liked Mad Max. It was fun.

That would be a nice solution for early adopters to not get screwed but I still would rather each console stay consistent throughout a generation. A gen typically lasts around 6-7 years and that may be shrinking anyway. I hope that consoles don't go the route of the smartphones or I'll be bummed.

I, for one, am against all these midgeneration upgrades so I hope Nintendo does not follow suit.
I also hope Sony doesn't repeat next gen. Not much hope that MS doesn't do it though. They're hinting at different powered consoles from LAUNCH ffs.
Keep the console gaming space consistent and even, says I. PC will always be the way to go as far as upgrading anyhow.
I need to return to this game. I started it last year and it didn't really hook me so I went to other games, but I really want to give it another chance (I did enjoy the demo).

No, I don't know it. PC online multiplayer has always had that as a disadvantage. Console multiplayer has a more even playing field.
Some games/genres are more workable with cross play than others but to say it has no effect on the competitive field is the real nonsense.
It's one reason I'm against midgeneration console upgrades, too.

There are pros and cons to cross play (and nobody has been mentioning the cons).
Pros:
-larger pool of players, easier to find matches
-play with friends on other platforms
Cons:
-produces uneven playing field for multiplayer matches
-network issues for one platform often disrupts the game for other platforms (this occurred to me in Rocket League)

I can afford a PSPro. I can afford seven if I desired. That's not the point. I don't want an advantage (OR a disadvantage) over others in a multiplayer match due to technical variations in the equipment used.
