Oh, and an honorable mention to Tony Hawk...
My finalists (though I'm sure I'm forgetting a few):
Metal Gear Solid
Grand Theft Auto 3 trilogy (of the three VC is my personal favorite for many reasons, I can still remember every inch of that map and SOUNDTRACK)
Final Fantasy 7
God of War
Uncharted 2
Twisted Metal 2
Zelda: Link to the past
Bloodborne
And, the winner is...
Final Fantasy 7
This ...
Ha! Moon Patrol! Good one.
Kings Quest and Archon are the two that first really stuck with me. As for my first console I had a Calicovision with Donkey Kong but I don't recall much else from that...
To build hype for an awards show that nobody would watch otherwise. Now everyone is anticipating some BIG reveals in Superman/JL and Alien. It's smart for the show but, nonetheless, disappointing for the viewers, I agree...
Both. lol
Well, if it's confined to private matches I have no problem with it but Rocket League crossplay with PC almost ruins the game for me and it's the default option for multiplayer. I fear others will often do the same. Is Fortnite crossplay the default?
I want as even a playing field as possible when playing online or else it's basically meaningless. There's already enough out there contributing to this problem and crossplay adds to it tenfold.
It's their Game Of The Year selection lol.
It is a fact. The fact is that their site has declared it GOTY.
Necessary? No, most certainly not. Is it a good thing to have? Absolutely NOT.
Keep console online multiplayer as standardized as possible, please.
No crossplay, please. No more mid-gen hardware upgrades, please.
It isn't broke. Don't fix it.
Yup. That's what I'm saying.
For instance, an amazing golf/baseball/football game that gets 10s across the boards would be up for best sports game but it would have to be truly groundbreaking and special like we haven't seen in years to even get a nomination for GOY, in my opinion. Same goes for racing.
What Nintendo game would you put on? They haven't released anything worthy of contention so far this year (we'll see once Smash is released).
As for Forza, it'll win best racing game for sure but, IMO, racers shouldn't be considered in GOY barring if the game makes a huge leap for the genre (which Forza didn't although it's a great racer).
Did you even read the article? It's praising Rockstar and its portrayal of binge drinking "in all its ugly glory"
I swear, dudes are getting WAY overly sensitive and whiny these days. Relax.
F'n awesome.
I've heard there's a way to redownload to the PS4. Anyone know how?
Oooooooh. We have to find out how to reproduce this glitch just for that reason.
Good call lol
It's cool this site is still up-and-running. I remember visiting them a lot way back in the day...
Oh, so it was Republican Party that led the Civil rights movement in our country? Yeah, right.
It was a leftist movement represented in politics largely by the Democratic Party.
It was the cause of the Southern split of which Republicans have owned the south ever since.
It's called history, man. Look it up and learn it before you spout silly ignorance in comment sections.
Yes, Lincoln was the first Republican president. That was BEFORE the parties essentially flipped sides during the Civil rights movement in the 1900s.
Southern Democrats split from the Democratic Party and found a home with the Repubs...
Yeah, but in the mid 1900s (with the Democrat-led civil rights movement) they all ran to the Republican Party and have found a nice warm home there ever since.
Haven't you ever heard of the Southern Strategy that was employed by Republicans in that era? It literally flipped the parties in many respects (although the economic populism platform stayed with the Dems).
The modern Democratic and Republican parties, as we know them, arose in the 50s/60s.
Full remake! I'm hyped!
This gen has been somewhat void of advancements and innovations (especially when it comes to AAA 3rd party offerings) but my answer is...
Virtual Reality.
It has finally become a viable technology after many false starts in the past and developers are starting to really hit the sweet spot with their offerings (Astro Bot for example).
It has me extra excited for next gen. I believe VR will really hit its stride in the next 5 years.
